Eddie walked to the line of trees outside of Steve's house and just sat there as he watched the leaves sway. If he was being honest he didn't know if they were actually swaying or if it was the drugs. Either way he grabbed a joint and lit it, smoke escaped his lips and the wind carried it into the woods. Eddie laid back on the grass and closed his eyes, but when he did Harringtons face clouded Eddie's thoughts. The only thought Eddie had at that point was to grab his box open it and crush up another small white pill. Eddie thought that if he couldn't see straight he wouldn't think straight meaning Harrington wouldn't be a thought. He snuffed up both lines of the white powder that was on the lid of his case. His vision blurred and he glared up at the foggy sky. All Munson could see was the faint light from the moon. Eddie closed his eyes and instead of seeing nothing he saw himself sitting in the school bathroom crying because Steve pushed him. What was wrong with the school freak, the school freak didn't cry. Eddie stood up wobbling and started walking up Harringtons driveway. Eddie was on a mission to make it to the nearest gas station to get snacks. He walked unsteadily down the sidewalk toward a blurred sign that had the numbers 7 and 11 on it. Eddie smirked at the sight and started to run towards the entrance. He wobbled through the gas station door and toward the slurpee machines in the back. He got a cherry slurpee and a goober bar. He paid then exited the 7/11. Eddie sat down near the entrance and ate his goober chocolate bar and then got another white pill.
"I will take as many of these as I have to, to get this stupid golden boy from haunting my thoughts," Eddie thought to himself. This time Eddie smashed 3 pills and made 6 white lines across the back of his box. Eddie rolled up the small white paper again and started inhaling the powder. Munson had already finished 3 lines by the time he took a break to look up at the sky again. His head was throbbing he knew taking this much would cause some sort of problem. The vision impairment and the headache probably wouldn't be the worst if it Eddie thought to himself. Eddie continued doing the last 3 lines and then got up he fell twice before actually succeeding. Then he heard the screech of tires against the asphalt.
"Who is coming to the gas station at almost 2 in the morning?" Eddie thought to himself as he wobbled across the sidewalk. Eddie was staring at the vehicle as Steve opened the door walking into the gas station. Eddie just stood there and Steve came out with 6 more 12 packs of beer hoping it would keep the party from ending so he wasn't left alone to think. Harrington got back in his car and started to drive away but when he was about to leave the parking lot he saw Munson standing on the sidewalk with red eyes and a wobble in his step.
"Eddie what are you doing get in the car'" Steve demanded.
Eddie retaliated. "I'm fine, golden boy and I'm not getting in your car."
Steve smiled at the nickname Munson had just given him.
"Get in, now," Steve commanded. This time Eddie listened and got in the back seat refusing to sit next to the perfect boy when he was this fucked up. He opened one of the 6 boxes of beer and started to drink. Eddie had already almost drank 6 beers by the time they got back to Steve's. Steve opened the back seat door letting Eddie out then grabbing the boxes, he lifted the one Eddie had been drinking out and was amazed to see that half the the beer in the box was gone. Eddie smirked and then started to walk away but soon lost his footing because he was so out of it.
