Eddie woke up late as usual and got ready for his Monday which included getting high going to school and getting high again. Eddie left his uncles trailer and headed toward Hawkins High. Once he arrived he expected to see Harringtons car parked in its usual spot like it was every morning, but he saw nothing no car no nothing just an empty parking spot. This shocked Eddie Steve Harrington has never been late for school. 7:45 rolled around and still no car. Eddie waited outside for the brunette to finally arrive but the time never came. Eddie finally decided that it would just be best to leave not go inside or go to class but to leave.
"No Harrington no point," Eddie thought aloud. The long haired adolescent walked away ditching school and ignoring all signs that told him to turn around and go back. Eddie kept walking and decided half way out of the school lot to go to Steve's. Eddie knew where Steve lived by heart at this point from the parties. Eddie had made a killing at Steve's parties everyone wanted marijuana at the parties. The amount of high teens that were at Steve's on weekends when he decided he wanted to party. Munson walked up Steve's drive way seeing the car that Steve is constantly protecting. Eddie knocked on the white door of the house. Eddie stood there for a few seconds but they felt like years. A groggy, baggy eyed Steve answered the door. Eddies eyes widened as he pushed through the door asking if Steve was okay.
"Harrington you look like shit," Eddie said.
"Wow, thanks," Steve responded sarcastically. Eddie walked into to Steve's house and say beer cans strung across his living room.
"Rough night?" Eddie asked.
The brunette responded, "Got caught up in my thoughts, I guess." Eddie left it at that not wanting to pry, but oh how Steve wanted him to pry. Steve wanted to spill his guts about the night he's been having flashbacks of for days.
"I kissed you," Steve blurted out. "Do you remember that?" Eddie stared at the brunette with awe.
"I don't remember it because it didn't happen I know I came out to you but that doesn't mean you can come over and taunt me with this!" Eddie snapped. Munson had no recollection of the night he had dreamt of for years. He was so high he didn't remember the night of his life the night he had been longing for.
"I'm telling the truth," Steve added. The brunette stepped closer to the darker haired boy and pressed his lips against Eddie's. Flashes of the night that Eddie had completely forgotten fogged his vision. He closed his eyes opened them and stared at Steve who stood there silently. Eddie took a step forward and kissed Steve back.
"I've been wanting to do that for years," the dark haired boy admitted. Eddie looked around again at all the beer cans and sighed what was Steve doing to himself all because Munson was in his head. Eddie took Steve to bed and went back down to sit on the couch until Steve woke up again hopefully in a more sober state. Steve was shitfaced last night and sobriety hadn't hit him yet. Eddie remember to when he was like that, never sober only stopped long enough to breath.
"Steve is a mess and it is all of my fault," Eddie thought to himself as he listened to Metallica on his Walkman. Eddie walked up the stairs to Steve's room and sat on his bed. Eddie couldn't help but think of cuddling the younger boy having him in his arms seemed like such an award for waiting so long.
