Steve could see the long haired boy enter the bathroom as he stared at himself in the mirror trying to ignore the bags under his eyes and focus on his perfect hair. Eddie walked over to the sink next to Steve.
He nodded, "Harrington."
Steve looked over at Eddie and just nodded in response. Eddie could feel heat building up in him just by talking to the brunette boy in front of him.
Steve could see Eddie staring at him so he gave Munson an uncomfortable glare that caused Eddie to look down at the white ceramic sink in front of him. Harrington left the bathroom and Eddie was left by himself in the isolated room. He could here the steady drip of a faucet as he fell to the floor, breathing heavier than normal he hated the way Steve made him feel because deep down Eddie knew he could never make Steve feel the same way. Tears started to fall down his cheeks.
"Get your shit together," Munson mumbled to himself. He stood up rubbed his face with sleeve of his leather jacket which really didn't help. He looked at himself in the mirror and stood there for a few seconds maybe minutes Eddie couldn't recall he stood there waiting for the red puffiness to disappear from under his eyes. He walked out of the bathroom glaring at the kids who had judged him since his first day here. Eddie knew he was different but why did everyone else have to know it wasn't their business. Eddie knew the rumors that had been going around saying he was gay, which was true but still it is not fair, not fair to Eddie, it wasn't anyone else's business but his on who he liked, but still everyone just assumed. It wasn't like he was trying to hide it as he touched his bandana that he shoved in his left pocket every morning. Eddie had tried for years to ignore the fact that he was different but since he started high school he started embracing it and he was quite proud of himself for not hiding it anymore. Eddie planned to skip the rest of the day, but he had already done that several times this year and the counselor had already yelled at him twice for it, so he stayed. Eddie had missed his second period class when he was in the bathroom which was insane because he could swear he wasn't in the bathroom for that long. He walked toward history class where he met the door opening as kids rushed out clambering together in the hall ways. Eddie walked in and did the same thing he did in math turned his chair sat down and tried to focus with out the thought of Steve blurring his focus in class. He managed to listen to the teacher speak about the Great War and the depression or that's what he thinks she was talking about. Eddie was never known to pay attention and he completely blamed the tall brunette boy with the perfect hair and perfect grades and who is just perfect. Students chairs screeched as they were scooted out from behind desks and then the bell rang and everyone ran out of the door shoving and pushing past each other. Eddie knew he could walk right through and it would be like parting the Red Sea, everyone knew he was a freak. Even with that power Eddie sat in his chair waiting for all of the teenagers to leave the classroom before he even thought of getting out of his chair.
