Layla walked into the back of the venue, carrying Juniper on her hip, bump on full display underneath her shirt. She had bought special shirts just for the only show she'd be able to make this tour. Ivy and Savannah were going to follow the boys, but she was pregnant and wanted to stay home with only the stress of being a mom, and not tour stress to add onto it. She rounded the corner, passing a security guard, flashing her badge. "Is there any way you can take me side stage?" He glanced at her and her daughter's shirts. "Greta fans?" She smirked, "The first of their kind." "I've been a fan for a really long time, too. They just seem like such laid back dudes, no rockstar behavior." She laughed, knowing Josh had just burned a tree in her backyard a couple days prior building a bonfire. "How long have you been a fan of Greta?" He asked. "Oh god, 2012. Since the beginning." "Wow. And now you get special passes?" She smiled, "Honey, I'm Sam's wife." His jaw dropped, "Wow! Oh my god! That's so cool. I'm so honored. And you're pregnant. Is this your daughter? Can I get a picture with you guys?" "I'd prefer if you kept this our little secret. We're trying to keep our baby off the internet." "Absolutely, yes ma'am. She's beautiful." "Thank you."
Ivy was at the end of the hall, getting a water from the concession station. "There's my girl!" Juniper tapped Layla on the cheek, "Mommy! Look! It Iby!" "I see, baby." She thanked the security guard, making her way to her best friend, "Beanie, can you show Aunt Ivy your shirt?" Juni looked down, pulling her shirt, pointing at it. "What does it say? Tell her, 'I'm a Danny girl.'" "I'm a Danny girl!" Ivy gasped in fake shock, "Do you know what my shirt says? I'm a Danny girl. Can you believe that?! We're matching." Juni's eyes got wide, looking at her mother, "We matching, Mommy!" "Yes, I see that, baby. Do you think we should show Uncle Danny?" "Yes!" They finally made their way to the stage, Layla helped her up the stairs, watching as she ran to her Daddy first. Sam read her shirt, and sent a deadpan look back at his wife, holding up his giggling baby at Danny as she kicked. Danny threw his head back in laughter, almost falling off his stool.
Danny got up, making his way over to Juniper, "Are you my special Danny girl?" "Iby and me match!" "I see that, baby! And your Mommy is a Sammy girl." Layla made her way to Sam, who attached his hand to her belly. "Hello, my love. And hello, my sweet boy." "Our appointment isn't until next week, goofy." "I just know. Where are you guys standing tonight?" "Front of barricade your side. Savannah's getting front of barricade Jake side. And Ivy's photographing." "Her headphones are in the green room." "Oh thank god, I couldn't find them at home and thought Rosie found them and chewed them." "They were in the car still from bringing her to practice yesterday." "We need to put them on before she starts playing around with your instruments." She watched as he made his way to one of their assistants, describing the big pink headphones and where they were. He walked back to her, wrapping his arms around her middle from behind. "I'm excited I get to see you all night tonight." "Mmm, and you get to come home and sleep in our bed after a show. Shower in our shower." He threw his head back, "Yes. For the first time ever. And we're married."
Their timing had always been so off that anytime they had been together prior to that night had always been hers, but never theirs. Nothing was theirs until after she had gotten pregnant with Juniper and still then, he'd only been able to come home after traveling, not the same night. The assistant jogged back over to Sam, holding the headphones. He smiled at Layla, "Is there anything I can get you?" "Oh no, not now. Thank you, though. I'm Layla, by the way, Sam's wife if you need my attention." "Can do, Mrs. Kiszka." She scrunched her nose up. Mrs. Kiszka always made her feel old. She took the headphones from Sam, "Beanie, can you put these on for me and Daddy?" Juniper's face scrunched up as she curled herself further into her Uncle Josh, who had picked her up. Layla sighed, after a swift kick to the ribs from the baby in her belly, as the toddler in her best friend's arms shook her head. "Honey, Daddy and your uncle's are going to be loud. Remember, we talked at home with Daddy that your ears will hurt." The little girl stared at her mother, shaking her head.
