Ida and Names

The weekend soon passed and I headed back to Class, I had been thinking about names.

I knew I wanted something that meant something In Arabic So far I only had Iesha, Lalya, and Tara, Kayla had suggested Alice which I aggregated for a middle name We still had time to figure it out though. I also had one last chance to come up with music or I was stuck with opera and while I loved Opera it wasn't me. I headed back into school seeing Ida "I didn't get to tell you before you left but Congrats"

"Thanks It's confusing but I'm excited and Can't wait for her to be here," I said honestly it was so surreal. to talk about.

"You said she's your ex what happened? " Ida asked "If your comfortable of course"

"We never actually dated Just a one-night stand but we were looking for different things, Or well I guess, We are looking for the same thing" I laughed before frowning wondering if Ida was wanting to ask me out "I'm Gay, I was trying to figure shut out and yeah it was a mistake but our little girl wasn't," I tell her seeing her sigh.
"Oh Right, That's fine I mean I don't have an issue, Sure your handsome would have been nice" Ida smiled.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this or the baby, thanks for being understanding," I said giving her a hug.

"Hey don't be sorry," Ida says simply hugging me back "we should get back to class Pretty sure he's still mad with you for Friday"

I groaned sighing as we walked into class.

The day went by fast and I headed to the record company as usual it went badly, Maybe everyone was right, I wasn't good enough, Maybe I just needed a break and I could try again later

"So How did It go," Kayla asked as I got back home.

I gave a shrug "Maybe I'll take a break till after the baby is born, focus on that and college and my job so we can have some money, Maybe Music Is just one big Failure " I huffed sitting next to her on the couch

"You're amazing you know." Kayla frowned rubbing my back

"How are you, how was the dinner with your parents"

"Good, Mum is excited we're having a girl," Kayla smiled.

"Mine too, I told her on the way today and she lit up, I think Like us she's glad not to have another Micheal" I laughed, I knew Mum hated the name as much as I did.

"Speaking of, I was telling mum about Names, and apparently She had been looking into Arabic names that also sounded simple in English, She assumed you'd want a connection to your roots."

"I love your mum you know," I grinned, Sure we had started off Angry, I mean I had got her daughter pregnant she was just protective but Now it was like having another mum. Not that I needed more Mothers.

 "She Suggested Zara I think it's cute" Kayla added, I thought for a moment before grinning "Zara, Alice Dawson Penniman A star or Flower is perfect" Mika nodded in agreement.
