We were set up. Me and Akutagawa. I tried to pull my arm away, but her grip on my wrist was to strong.
"What do you want!" I yelled at her hoping someone would hear.
"No one can hear you because no one is in sight, haven't you noticed already?"
I looked over at the coffee makers to see that the coffee shop owner and Lucy were no where in sight. I quickly turned to the girl and asked where Lucy was.
"She's making our coffee still, what made manners to make a customer wait so long for a simple cup of coffee."
What was this girls ability? What could I do in this situation? I then transformed my arm into my tigers arm and made her let go, or so I thought. My ability wasn't activated. It was just like that time when all ability users in the city lost their abilities , and the abilities tried to kill their owners. There wasn't no tiger around in sight so it couldn't be that, but why can't I transform?
"You are probably wondering what my ability is right?"
I stared at the girl and didn't mutter a word.
"My ability is called poison heart."
My eyes widened and I stared at her in shock. I am in big trouble this time.
*flashback to the day before*
"Atsushi come here for a second!" Dazai yelled for the meeting room.
I walked into the meeting room and sat down in the chair next to Dazai. Kunikida was about to start a presentation. Ahem, Kunikida cleared his throat before speaking.
"This is more of a warning then just typical information about a killer." The poison heart killer."
"Poison heart killer?" Ranpo said as he put his bag of chips down.
"Well we don't know their actual name, but their ability is poison heart."
Dazai looked at the photo on the screen of a body blown into pieces.
"Why is the body blown up if the ability is poison heart?" Wouldn't they have died of poison then?"
"Let me explain Dazai" Kunikida said while holding his pen so tightly it almost cracked in half, again.
"The poison heart ability is an ability to poison the heart, hence its name. But when the ability is used after a specific amount of time the person's body feels the poison and the whole body feels waves of serious pain. That persons body will feel more pain until they can't handle it anymore and their brain explodes.
Once their brain explodes then their body explodes. Or that's the theory we came up with."
The room grew silent as Kunikida stopped talking. That was supposed to be a theory? If that was a theory then I don't want to see what it actually does.
"Also the killer seems to be aiming after certain ability users."
"What kind?" Junichiro asked.
"I actually have that list" Naomi said with a worried face.
She then turned to me then back at the paper in her hands.
"The people on the list they had that weren't already killed are Kilia Zaki, Aria Xiong, and Atsushi Nakajima.
Everyone stood there
silently as they heard my name get called.
