Newt - The Safe Haven

"Do you think I'm being a bit like a drama queen?" Newt asked, Sonya, Teresa and by default Emmeline as she rarely left Sonya's side. He had just finished telling them about what Thomas had said to him in the gardens.

"No." Sonya responded. "You're allowed to feel anyway you like, and if that upset you, then it upsets you."

"I don't think so. But I also don't think Thomas meant it in the way your taking it." Teresa said.

"Yes. He doesn't love you, so he corrected himself. If he does love you, then he's just pushing you away. Either way, he doesn't get dick, so ultimately he's loosing." Emmeline said. Sonya just starred at her for a moment, before turning her entire body in the opposite direction as to not look at Emmeline any longer.

"But I end up loosing too." Newt responded. "I do like him."

"Right, neither of you end up getting dick in this situation." Emmeline said.

"You love him, actually." Teresa corrected him.

"You guys have been no help." Newt said.

"What do you mean? I've been trying to help you get dick! That's what you want isn't it?" Emmeline said.

"Emmie, I cannot-" Sonya started.

"I feel like I'm intruding on a conversation." Minho said, walking into the medical hut.

"I'm finished with the conversation." Newt said. "You all suck at advice." He said as he left, Minho following behind him.

"Newtie!" Minho said, trying to get his attention as he walked back towards the gardens.

"Yes, Minho." Newt said whilst sighing.

"I heard a portion of your conversation while I was standing outside. What did Thomas say?" He asked.

"He just apologized for telling me he loved me and told me he didn't mean it." Newt said. Was Thomas really sorry about loving him?

"Shuck face." Minho muttered. "You should talk to him though, he is Thomas after all."

"What's there to speak about?" Newt said.

"Tell him you like him." Minho said. Why would Newt do that? He just got rejected and he didn't even tell Thomas he liked him. It was worse than regular rejection.

"What's the point in doing that?" Newt asked. He's given up on Thomas.

"Stop being such a shuckface and just do it. Tell him you like him and then you guys can be boyfriends." Minho said. He ran a hand through his hair, sighing at Newt.

"Fine. I'll have one conversation with him." Newt said, and he stormed off towards Thomas' hut.

He made it all the way there and stopped in front of the door. Apparently Minho had been making real doors like in the glade.

Either way, he stood there because as soon as he went in, he would have to talk to Thomas, and that was terrifying. This morning he rejected Newt before Newt even built up the courage to tell him how he felt. That was embarrassing. It was like a pre warning to stay away from him.

Then the bigger question, did Thomas even share the same interest in boys that Newt did? He seemed to be in love with Teresa for as long as he could remember, so maybe that meant he didn't like boys like that? What if he found it gross that Newt did? Newt had dealt with his fair share of boys who did not appreciate Newt's romantic type, and it was not fun. How was he supposed to react when Thomas did that.
