I HATE THIS CHAPTER TITLE-THERE WERE SO MANY BETTER ONES I CAME UP WITH, BUT I WANTED YOU GUYS TO BE SURPRISED. IF YOU THINK OF A BETTER ONE LET ME KNOW!!!!

The Darkling told Ivan he was taking the day off. He was going to show Aleeza the best day imaginable. However, because of her drinking, he knew she would wake up feeling awful. So first, he got a Grisha hangover cure designed by healers and fabricators and went to her room.

There was a secret passage between their rooms via the bookshelf. It also connected to the other tunnels he created. He didn't think Aleeza knew about it though, he might show her in time. But there really wasn't any need. If she wanted to see him, she could just use the hallway and walk next door.

The Darkling set the hangover cure on her nightstand and tried gently waking her up. The first moment he knew she was awake was when the light coming from the windows began to divert, leaving her in the shade. Aww, she was adorable trying to use her power to keep sleeping. He continued watching her for some time; he could never get bored watching his precious star.

Finally, he rubbed her arm again and whispered in her ear to get up.

"Huh," Aleeza said. The Darkling was correct, she had a massive hangover.

"Here, for your hangover." The Darkling said, handing her the drink.

"Thanks," Aleeza grumbled as she took it and drank. "What's in this?" She asked.

"No clue." He admitted.

Aleeza was surprised to find The Darkling waking her up. She tried to think back to last night: she got drunk, did something wrong in the dining hall, and was with The Darkling, did they?

Aleeza wondered. She knew it wasn't uncommon for people to do stuff while drunk. And the fact that Aleeza didn't remember meant that any possibly was open.

"What happened last night?" Aleeza asked.

"You got drunk." The Darkling said.

I know that much Aleeza wanted to say.

The Darkling then let out something between a sigh and a chuckle. "You make a scene at the dining room, then Ivan dragged you out of there to me where you proceeded to make some interesting conversation-"

Aleeza tried to remember what she had said. Some of it was coming back to her. Mostly the part of her standing on the Darkling's chair and shouting about a herring revolution. However, her conversation with The Darkling, she mostly forgot it seemed. She didn't have that many secrets to reveal, so she hoped she just said utter nonsense.

However, suddenly she remembered the little nickname she created for The Darkling-Darkles. She would have to use that sometime later to mess with him.

"You then threw up, and I had to drag you back here." The Darkling finished.

Aleeza was embarrassed by the events but was relieved it didn't seem like anything else occurred. It could have been way worse.

"So today I was-" The Darkling began.

"Do I have to train with Baghra again?" Aleeza complained. She wasn't really in a position to be making demands, especially with how much of a fool she acted like last night. However, asking couldn't hurt.

The Darkling chuckled, "No, you don't. That was only while I was away."

Aleeza didn't understand; she thought The Darkling had been avoiding her. "Where did you go?"

"I wrote you a note." The Darkling said as she should already know.

"Well, sorry. It wasn't that informative." Aleeza read that thing multiple times. She knew it didn't mention why she was training with Baghra-it was merely two sentences.
