It has been a full week of living in paradise and I never thought id feel so happy to be in such an unfamiliar place. I love being with my family but it's just my mom and my brother were all are so close and would have a good time this summer no doubt but my mom is a big pusher for independence. My dad passed away when I was young and because he was the breadwinner for my family my mom struggled a lot at first with having two kids all on her own. So she wants to make sure I have the experiences now and make some money for later so that whenever the time comes im ready for what comes my way. Im so grateful and miss her a lot. I get snapped out of my homesick daze by Chloe and Alahna. They notified me of their plans to go to the beach to swim and how could I say no?

I threw on my suit, grabbed my bag, told Julie bye and followed them down the stairs to the sea. 

"So how are things with Chris, Chloe?" I asked.

"Actually so good and he has not done anything bad or douchey. I feel like this could be really good for me and last for once." She beamed.

"No Anna we know Chloe and Chris are gonna last I mean they've always been best friends that's like the perfect combo for a healthy relationship. the real question is what the fuck is going on with you and Matt?" Alahna chimed in suddenly.

"Okay actually what are you talking about? I have been here a week and I have only known him for six days." I made a face pretending to have no clue. 

"Shut the fuck up you know what I'm talking about everyone can see the way you two act all the time. Why is it that you guys are always exchanging little looks? OH and not to mention Matt isn't quick to open up and here he is pulling you off to the side to show you THE FUCKING SAND CRABS. Did he tell you the story about them?" I nodded to her in response. "Yeah exactly my point right Chloe?"

"I mean honestly Anna he didn't tell me about those damn crabs until like two years ago cause he said its too 'embarrassing and dorky'. It doesn't really make sense why he's telling you second day together." Chloe scoffed.

"Honestly I have no idea what you guys mean. He probably just isn't intimidated by me and maybe he thinks I'm dorky too so he doesn't care what I think. Did you guys ever consider that?" They shook their heads but side eyed each other like they knew something else that I wasn't in on. I didn't care enough to ask because it was probably just something else about the fact that Matt told me his favorite color too early on after meeting me or some shit. I mean yeah he was cute, like really cute and one of the sweetest people ever but holy shit I can't possibly catch feelings for somebody so fast and actually keep them. Chloe, Alahna, and I swam around and laid out for a bit before it started to rain. As we were running back inside I heard my phone go off but figured it was probably a spam email or something. 

"Cmon guys lets just dance in the rain or something. Were already soaking wet it can't hurt us." I said dragging them both out into the street. We danced around in the rain for awhile mostly just running around hoping we don't slip and fall on our asses on the pavement. Heading back inside I finally checked my phone before hopping into the shower.

Nick and Chris are out with our friends and Im hungry so 

if you wanna go get food with me in a bit that'd be swag😎

I ran through the rain out to Matt's car but there he was at the passenger door opening it up for me already. 

"Wow such a gentleman. Now get back in you're gonna be soaked." We laughed as he ran back over to his side and headed to some random little cafe on the boardwalk.

"How are you liking it here so far?"

"It's so fun I definitely miss my family but ill see them soon when I go to visit and it's nice to just have all friends in the summer and be so stress free."

"Yeah I feel you I can't imagine being away from my family for that long. I have never been away from Chris for even 24 hours so." I glanced over at him the cloudy haze around us still not stopping him from looking adorable.

"You guys are so close its awesome. Is that why you guys started Youtube like to get closer?"

"I mean partially yeah that and just for fun and now here we are with people writing damn fanfictions about us."

"Oh yeah loverboy. I almost forgot."

"Oh hell no that's what were not gonna do call me just about anything else but that." I grinned at him. He pulled in and showed me inside the cafe after we ordered our food and sat down to talk some more.

"Does your little bit of fame ever stress you out?"

"I don't know Anna does it make you nervous?" He smirked at me causing me to blush.

"Well actually yeah I'm scared if im seen here with you ill have a million angry girls telling me they don't understand how you would even be able to talk to me without throwing up. Plus I don't even think I want to be seen by as many people as you have following you."

"I feel like you deserve to be seen by that many people. I might just be thinking out loud though. But, yeah I have super bad anxiety and knowing that so many people are watching my every move adds a lot of pressure on me."

"My brother has super bad anxiety so I can understand where you're coming from in a way. I just feel like from what I have seen of you so far you can't really do any wrong. all of your fans love you and you seem super interactive." I felt our knees touch under the table and waited for him to move his leg but he never did. We sat there for another hour that felt like 10 seconds not moving once. The same physical contact being a constant surprisingly.

"Well thank you for eating with me and I hope seeing the boardwalk in daylight was a good experience." He laughed while opening the passenger door for me. The rain had stopped at this point so I didn't have lingering guilt about his chivalrous actions.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world Matthew."

"I hate the government name but don't mind it as much when you say it. Weird?"

"No not weird. I got the voice of an angel."

"Yeah yeah sure. Okay well tell Chlo I say hi and thanks again for putting me on to Steve Lacy. Goodnight Anna."

"Goodnight Matthew get home safe." He winked before I shut the door to Chloe's house. Definitely had the worst butterflies of my entire life at this point in time but got to just ignore them.
