is this just another one of those stupid summer flings?
summer weather makes everything hot, hot enough to trick people into feeling in love. is it the heat or are the feelings real? Anna moves to chloe's hometown for the summer after their freshmen...
"Yes we are on our way for the fiftieth time. We are on bikes it takes a little bit longer." Chloe said to Alahna over the phone. We rode our bikes over to Alahna's house for a cute little girls day. I know Chloe wanted to update the two of us on how her and Chris were doing and I needed to tell them what happened with Matt and I. We came to a stop in Alahna's driveway and waited to just joyride around and talk with one another.
"So how are you and Chris?" I piped up giving her a way to talk about it without bringing it up herself I know she always felt selfish bringing up a guy during girl time which she should never. Alahna and I care about all aspects of her life even the weird relationship stuff.
"Honestly pretty good it's nice being his girlfriend for real now. I am pretty nervous for moving back to Oregon but that's two months away and we have stayed friends for years so I don't think some long distance will really break us. But I don't know lately he's been kinda acting weird like we haven't kissed in a week and he avoids his phone like the damn Black Plague whenever im around."
"Maybe you're reading too far into it. I am not trying to be rude at all but you guys did slightly jump from friends to dating fast and sometimes that can be tricky to navigate. Plus you guys are already so close it won't hurt you to just ask him about it." I replied hoping to bring her some closure.
"Whatever you do just don't tell him you want him to be more physically affectionate. I have had people tell me that in the past and it puts me in a weird position where I feel forced and I just don't want you being uncomfortable in your own relationship." Alahna said offering the two of us some useful insight that neither of us had previously considered.
"Thanks babes you two are the best I definitely have to ask about that now. Anyways enough about that bullshit how did breakfast go Anna?'
"oh yeah I saw Matt's post. He never posts girls so you must be special."
"Well I kinda sorta had the whole 'I have feelings for him' talk and we kinda set some ground rules that we're both interested in each other and want to just focus on that - BUT but but we did agree that we wouldn't put any pressure on it." They both rode beside me with their jaws dropped.
"Holy shit you actually did it." Alahna laughed.
"Anna put her big girl pants on finally." Chloe smiled over at me.
"Yeah yeah now we just gotta hook Nick and Alahna up. RIGHT?" I peered over to see Alahna laughing her ass off.
