Morgan's P.O.V:

"So are these where we sleep?" I ask, pointing towards 5 cabins lined up on the beachfront.

She turns to me with raised brows, "We?" She murmurs.

"Sorry," I say with a roll of my eyes, "we seniors."

"Much better." She says, "And yes it is. Considering we're here before everyone else, I suppose you can pick which one you want to sleep in first."

I glance between the cabins, all identical, all equally as plain.

"The communal bathrooms are over there—," She turns and points behind her, and then points to another slightly bigger cabin, "And that's where the teachers are."

I nod.
"Right. Well I'm going to go unpack." I say as a goodbye, and rush off.

The smartest choice was the cabin closest to the bathrooms, so that's the cabin I chose.

Opening the door with a creak, I observe the insides.

Two bunk-beds lay vertically against the left and right wall, with a towel and small soap on the ends of the beds— sort of like a hotel.

I walk over to the left side and place my suitcase next to the beds, taking a seat on the bottom bunk.

It smelled sort of musky and woody in here— probably because the cabins were made of wood— but not in an unpleasant way.

In fact, they were far more spacious, clean and tidy on the inside than one would expect. There was barely any sand on the floors either.

I lay down with a sigh, unable to stop thinking about just before, when I'd pretended to be asleep.

The way she'd traced my face and touched my lips made my heart warm in ways no one had ever managed to do before.

Whether it was a good or a bad thing I didn't know, but as my eyes close and sleep overtakes me, I don't think of it for much longer.

I wake up to a familiar voice and being shaken, "Morgan wake up!" Mackenzie shouts in my ear.

Startled, I open my eyes to a very excited looking friend.

"How'd you get here before everyone else?" She asks while still shaking me.

I groan and push her off, "I rode Ms Dean..." I reply groggily; semi-conscious.

She laughs, "You rode Ms Dean??"

My consciousness begins to form and I shake my head repetitively, "No, no, no!" I pleaded, "I meant I rode with her— like, in a car."

She pulls me up to a sitting position, "Whatever. Sure." Then adds enthusiastically, "Aren't you excited? I am. I also managed to get here before the others, and now im bunking with you!"

Her eyes were wide open as though she were a child in a candy store, "Oh and apparently we're having a night swim and then toasted marshmallows! Isn't that exciting?"

The fact that she was simply bubbling with excitement made me smile, "Yeah. I am."

Then she whispers, "Also there are two other girls in here, ones called Layla and the other one is..." She glances up while raking her memory, "like, Dakota, or something."

"Mack, we don't have a Dakota in our grade."

She frowns, "I don't know, she looks like a Dakota."

I laugh and stand up, "You're a fucking idiot."

"Hey!"

Ignoring her I ask, "What's the time?"

"Mr Galloway said like 10 minutes ago that it was 5:00pm, so... 5:10pm." She says, peeking in my suitcase, "Did you bring bikinis? You're gonna need them."

I walk over and open the suitcase fully, "No, I came to a beach without any swimmers." I reply sarcastically.
"Obviously I brought swimmers you dumbass." I then say and slap her arm.

She winces, "Ok, then grab them and we'll go get changed in the bathrooms."

Then she bends over to look in her own suitcase, grabbing out clothes and I do the same.

We rush out of the cabin to the bathroom.

"Morgan!" Mackenzie calls from outside my stall, "Are you done yet?"

I slip my denim shorts over my bikini bottoms and reply, "Yep, done."

I unlock the stall and walk out. Mackenzie looks me up and down before whistling lowly.

"Shit man, you're going to give Ms Dean a heart attack." She says, still looking over me.

"Shut up." I walk over to the mirrors.

Beneath my little denim pants I had on a bright orange bikini, the straps showing over the pants and sitting on my hips.

The triangle bikini top was definitely more revealing, covering very minimal skin. It tied at the middle.

Mackenzie walks over, dressed far more modestly in black swim trunks and a matching sports bra.

"You have such faith in that top, Morgan." She murmurs, staring at my chest.

"It'll hold." I reply, bouncing up and down as a test.

"Woah!" She shouts with her hands up, "I almost fell in love with you just now."

I laugh and ignore her comment, "See, it held."

"Lucky." She replies before beginning to walk out, "Now come on, I want to go swimming!"

I follow her out and we pick up a jog, running by our classmates— some dressed in their own swimwear.

Just as we pass the teachers cabin, the door opens and we stop.

Alyssa steps out, stops, and stares.

Her eyes begin at my face before travelling down to my breasts, my stomach, my legs, then slowly back up to my eyes.

Her mouth was slightly agape but she quickly shuts it.
"Going for a swim?" She breathes, her eyes blinking rapidly.

Everywhere on my body where her gaze had been was now alight, burning with that fire in her eyes.

Mackenzie answers for us both, "Yeah, you?"

She continues looking at me as she replies, "Perhaps."

I swallow and Mack grips my arm, "Come on then." She tells me, then glances at Ms Dean, "We'll see you later."

She pulls me away before I could hear her response.

But from the way I could feel her eyes on me like some phantom touch, I knew she wouldn't have answered anyway.

"I told you." Mackenzie whispers matter-of-factly, "She was in absolute awe."

I choose to ignore her, yet a smile still spreads over my face.
