Eddie POV
———
I looked up to see the entire trailer of people turning over to look at me and Steve, right before they did, Robin shouted. "HOLY SHIT LOOK AT THAT!" and it gave me and Steve enough time to put our shirts back on and to act like we didn't almost screw infront of all these kids

Once they realized Robin was pointing at practically nothing, they turned back and saw me and Steve on opposite sides of eachother, reading some random shit we found under the seat. They looked confused, but I think they eventually figured they were all hearing some random shit.

The doors opened, and I saw Steve give Max, Lucas and Erica each their own separate pep-talk, he seemed worried about them, it was understandable. They nervously left the trailer and Steve watched them walk inside. "Massive mama Steve alert going on here." I teased, he laughed and once the kids were inside we rushed over to my trailer.

I motioned for Dustin to come over to Steve and I since he was the one little kid in a car full of adults. He smiled and came over, seeming to have been darting his eyes between me and Harrington for a while now already. He sat down next to us.

Steve POV
———

"Keep eachother safe." I said, they seemed a little caught off guard by the sudden serious statement, but they both smiled and nodded at me. "Don't worry Steve, we are not hero's, I'll play my guitar solo and run away like always." He chuckled, but I could tell he felt ashamed. He cleared his throat and pulled something out of his pocket. "Here, ticket to the concert I invited you to." I smiled, and made sure to keep it on me, I wouldn't want to lose it. Eddie then took off his jacket. "Here, have it, it's a little stiff so it makes it harder to play the guitar, keep it on you." I nodded, putting it on, it felt comfortable. Plus, I liked having a piece of Eddie's clothing. "Oh aren't you two just so cute." Dustin remarked, he was trying to get a reaction out of me. I looked at him dead in the eyes, and did the motion where I took my finger, and slid it across my neck. Dustin gave me a thumbs up, but I could just see that he was holding in a snicker.

We chatted for a while before we pulled up at Eddie's trailer. "Make sure your music is loud enough, I wanna hear you play." I chuckled and punched Eddie's shoulder. He laughed and we got out of the car and towards the door. He opened the door for me, "After you." He jokingly teased. I laughed and ignored him, we went over to the gate, and I took a deep breath before climbing the rope. I got nervous when I fell onto the other side, the upside down, but I landed a flip and didn't get the creepy eye floaty thing again. I sighed of relief. I went over and got the mattress from Eddie's room. I took a second to look around his room, why are there chains hanging on his w- "STEVE!" I heard Dustin call, I quickly grabbed his mattress and put it under the gate. Everyone came over and safely got to the other side.

Nancy explained the plan to us once more, and we got all the necessary things we'd need. Eddie went to get his guitar, Robin and Nancy went to do the final preparations on the "grenades" so me and Dustin were alone.

"Remember what I said Dustin, don't be a hero. Keep yourself safe, keep Eddie safe, and he will do the same to you." I made him nod and agree with me. "You sound like a mom." He laughed. I smiled. "It's cause I am one, you dingus." I lightly smacked his head and pulled him in for a hug. "I keep mentioning it, but don't do anything that will put yourself in da-" I got interrupted by Dustin cutting in. "Then you don't do it either." I was surprised, and caught of guard by what he said. "You've talked about it before that you wish you could've saved more people, I don't trust that your not going to be the one that risks their life." Dustin sounded genuinely concerned and nervous. "I won't kid." I put out my finger for a pinky swear, and we shook on it.

Dustin suddenly gave me a weird look. "What?" I asked him. He started to snicker and it turned into a laugh, a quiet one. He pointed to my neck, but since I can't disconnect it from my shoulders, I had no idea what he was pointing at. "Might wanna cover that one up." He kept laughing, I was so confused. I grabbed a nearby mirror and looked at my neck. a huge ass hickey.

Dustin laughed as I panicked, and started rummaging through the drawers of Eddie's trailer before I realized that Eddie had no reason to have makeup, and since this was the upside down, any makeup would probably give me rabies or some shit.

Just then, Eddie came out from his room, just in case, I looked at his neck, and it was like we were twins, Dustin clearly noticed it as well.

"We ready to get started?" I heard Robin say from across the trailer. Everyone nodded and we started to head for the door. We walked outside, and Robin and Nancy walked ahead. I saw Dustin struggling to get on the roof, so I quickly let him stand on my hands, and he was able to get on. I noticed that Robin and Nancy were quick, so I had to make this fast.

I went over to Eddie. "Stay alive for me, ok Munson?" I gave him a hug. I was extremely worried? For him, for Dustin, for everyone. "I know, you can't lose the only man you can ever pull." He laughed.
"Well that's offensive." I pretended to be offended, but he could see that I didn't actually care. "But want to you Harrington, I can't bring a corpse to that concert. I expect to see you there, if you miss it, then I guess I'll have to play the bands songs from your house, so loud that it'll get us both arrested." He chuckled. I nodded and he pulled me in for one last kiss. After a couple seconds we pulled away. "I love you man." I said.
"Me too Harrington." He replied.

I started to run to catch up with Robin and Nancy, I looked behind me to see one final glance of Eddie, he winked at me. I smiled at him and turned back to run.

But what I didn't realize then, is that would be the last time I saw him happy.
