Babysitting

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

I smile as I hold her hand saying "he is the guy who brings us all the snow days, little Soph - not to mention... no, he's just a snow-guy. People say that because he could try to freeze your nose a bit while having fun, but I doubt it." Sophie laughs happily saying "snow day!!" "Want to head to the park? You can say hi to Jamie." She gasps saying "can we? Can we- can we!?" I chuckle while nodding saying "of course, Soph. Let's go" I still hold her hand as we walk, we kinda just ended up back at her house since he's playing in their yard.

"Jamie Bennett, no fair!" A kid yells out, so Jamie yells out "you struck first!" Two of his friends behind him got hit with snowballs. 'Okay, maybe it was a bad idea to bring Sophie here, they're aiming for face' I think to myself. "Free-for-all!" A voice yells out, so I look around and see a teen looking boy- looking like he's around my age. Though he threw another snowball at Jamie, he didn't look at the boy here though as he used his sled as a shield. Sophie laughed at this, but I look up at the boy confused "Sophie.. do you see him?" I ask confused.

She looks at me saying "Jamie?" I shake my head "the boy that's here too, one I haven't seen around before" I say as I look at him. Though the kids still had their snowball fight, but the boy runs a bit saying "alright, who needs ammo?" My eyes widen at this. He somehow made snowballs with his hook that he has in his hand, my jaw dropped at this. That's when I got hit in the face with a snowball "oh come on, guys- I'm just here to babysit." They laughed as they still continued to play, but that's when I see that boy smiling at me.

He gathered up snow for a snowball and threw it at me, I dodged saying "not again, I seen that one" his eyes widened as he looks at me. I chuckle and say "Jamie, I just wanted to say hi - I'm bringing Sophie back to my house now." "Hi, (Y/n)!.. bye, (Y/n)!" He yells out as he still plays with his friends, so I finally lead Sophie back to my house. I felt like I was being watched as I walk with Sophie back to my house, but when we get there I open the door. Then I look around and try to see if I can see anyone here, but I don't... which is why I let Sophie in first.

With that I take off my coat and say "stay inside for a second, Soph - I'm just gonna change into shorts, then we can go to my backyard." She nods and starts to run around my living room, I chuckle as I go up to my room. Easily I change out of my sweats and into some shorts, then I take out my lazy ponytail and let my hair be down. Softly sighing I walk back down while smiling at Sophie who's smiling big right back at me. "Okay, let's go to my backyard" I say which made her cheer happily before running to my back door.

I go out after her to make sure that she won't trip over the stairs, and with that she's already out playing in the snow. First she made a few snow angels, then it was a few tiny snowmen... lastly she decided to throw snow up around. I chuckle at how energetic she is, but I had to remember that she does have a bit of a schedule. She needs to take a short nap around 4:30pm... I check the time on my phone and see that it's four right now. Though she's yawning right now as she runs around in the snow, so I softly chuckle at this.

"Soph, you should take your nap now - you're looking pretty tired" I say as I walk in the snow in my bare feet a bit of a shiver goes up my spine. Sophie pouted a bit, but I picked her up and start walking back inside... there I help her take off her coat. She smiles at me before I grab a blanket from my closet and motion for her to follow me. She does and I got the couch ready for her, she instantly went on and I tucked her in. "Thanks for letting me come over, (Y/n)!" She says happily before yawning and her eyes start closing.

This got me softly smiling before she says "you're always fun..." then she fell asleep, with that I decided I wanted to leave a surprise for her. Going back outside, this time I got my crocs on while walking outside to grab her little snowmen. Though I paid attention to avoid the snow angels she made, with that I start setting them on my porch. 'She'll see these once she wakes back up to make more, then she'll be so happy. Or at least try to think that someone magical moved them for her... either way, she'll be overjoyed.'

The thought got me smiling as I set the last one down, but something landed on the railing of my porch which got my eyes to widen. Looking up I see that boy from earlier, so I yelp and think that he's some type of stalker. 'Maybe my mom and dad were right, guys do try to mess with you when you're a girl.' With that thought I go inside before he could do anything and grab the bat I keep for emergencies like this. Getting ready to hit him I see him flinch "yeah that's right, be scared... because I sure as well am not of you."

He looked a bit shocked before reaching his hand out, my grip tightened around the bat "don't take another step closer. I'm not afraid to use this!" He took a small step back saying "you... you can see me?" I nod my head. "Just as much as I can see myself in the mirror or any of my friends, yes, I can see you" I say to him. He chuckles a bit "you.. you can hear me!" He says a bit happily, so I narrow my eyes at him. "What.... is wrong with you? Are you crazy?! Is that why you followed me?!?" I ask and get close to hitting him.
