Hanging Out

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

I told him a bit of why I live by myself, I didn't say everything since Sophie is still here not to mention I also told him a few things. How I'm doing now, that I enjoy the snow at times but there are times where I feel way too cold. Though I haven't been feeling that lately as I've been feeling way too warm for some reason. I check the time and see that it's about quarter to six, so with that I call Sophie to get her back inside. She was a bit sad but came in anyways as she starts to get her bag and grab out a little fruit snack bag.

She eats some of them as I just sit here and keep an eye on her, but Jack came back in and just looks around "this place looks nice." I nod saying "thanks, I try to keep it that way" he nods in understanding, but that's when there was a knock at the door. I open it and see Mrs Bennett right there with Jamie too, so I smile saying "hey, Mrs Bennett. Sup, Jamie" he smiles at me and says "(Y/n), you wouldn't believe what happened today!" I smile at this. "What's that?" "I was sledding and somehow ended up going through traffic like I was a car!" He says happily.

Then he does a few impressions of how it was done, so I look at Jack from over my shoulder to see he's smiling while watching Jamie. 'I'm asking you about this-' "then I ended up at the park!.. and a sofa hit me!!" Jamie says happily. My eyes widen at that "what?!" I ask shocked, so he says "I'm okay, but it knocked a tooth out." Then he showed me where it was and jumps in his spot a bit saying "I'm gonna get money from the Tooth Fairy." 'Oh, you have no idea' I think to myself before chuckling saying "gonna give me some of it, right?" He playfully gasped.

"Yeah right, it's all for me!" Jamie says which made us both laugh "Sophie, I'm here to bring you back home!" Mrs Bennett calls out. Sophie pouted a bit but ended up packing her stuff and getting her coat back on. I smile at this and Mrs Bennett hands me twenty dollars saying "thanks for watching her, (Y/n)." "It was no problem, Mrs Bennett" I say as I put the bill in my pocket, so she smiles saying "it never is." We both chuckle at that and they finally say their goodbyes and I closed the door to not let the cold in.

I look back at Jack saying "you did that... didn't you?" He chuckles while raising a hand saying "guilty as charged, little (Y/n)." "You're not that much taller than me, Frost" I say to him, so he smirks saying "still taller than you." I playfully roll my eyes saying "nice, we can go for a walk if you want" he smiles and nods. "I'm just gonna change first, then we can go" he nods again and with that he goes outside. Though I go up to my room and get my brown sweats back on 'wow, we're really gonna be matching.'

Walking back outside I realize I didn't bring a coat, but I don't think I'll be out for that long "really going out without a coat?" He asks me. I chuckle saying "looks like it, come on" we ended up walking around town a bit just talking. Though at a certain point in time I started to get cold "here, I don't know if it'll help though" Jack says. Then he took off his hoodie and holds it out to me, I blush and shake my head "just keep the hoodie, Jack. I'm used to seeing you in it now" he shakes his head and throws it at me, so I chuckle and just put it on.

"So, how do I look?" I ask and put the hood up "like a shorter me" he teased, so I chuckle and playfully shove him "oh, shuddup." We both laugh a bit before he says "wanna fly around?" "Fly?.. I always wanted to fly." He holds his hand out to me now, but I just realized he's in a dark blue shirt too, I shake my head and accept his hand. Jack pulled me close before saying "you might wanna hold on" "really? But I just met you" I say playfully. With that he shrugged saying "alright, don't say I didn't warn you - wind, take us to Jamie's!" 'Wind?' I think confused.

Next thing I know is we're up in the air as he's laughing, my eyes widen and I shriek while hanging onto him tight. We ended up on Jamie's roof, Jack helped me stand softly as we walk over to the front of the house. Looking over the edge and into a window I see we're right over Jamie's room, so I smile. "Jack, look... it's Jamie and Sophie" I whisper out, so he nods and looks over with me. Inside is Jamie as he's telling Sophie the story that he told me while we were at my house waiting for her to get ready.

I smile at how happy he sounds... not to mention how good of a family they are, but his mom walks in- somehow not seeing me. "Alright, you - tooth under your pillow?" She asked Jamie who set his toy down saying "yeah. I'm ready" he set the toy down and the light went off for a second, so he turned it back on and grabbed a flashlight. His mom then says "now don't stay up trying to see her, Jamie.. or she won't come~" I softly smile at this. 'Oh wow... I miss those days where I did that' I think to myself, I did stay up all night... but I didn't see her.

'She's real though, I know that now' I smile big at that, but Jamie responded with "but I can do it this time! Wanna help me, Soph?" A tear comes to my eye. 'Man, they really get along well... I wish me and my brother were that way' I think to myself. "Hide! Hide! Hide!!" Was Sophie's answer, but their mom says "nuh uh, straight to bed now, mister." Jamie groans a bit upset before she picks up Sophie and she's laughing happily still like always. Jamie's dog, Abby, starts licking at his face though, so I softly chuckle at that to not get their attention.
