Boogeyman's Fear

Cupid's p.o.v

The man put his hands to his chest as he looks at himself before looking back at the boy that ran through him, he starts running. The sun is coming up though, we all went to cut him off- turns out we're on ice as we look at him. He ran right into Sword-man's stomach before falling back, so we all look at him as he scrambles back a bit. "Leaving the party so soon?" Sword-man asks before the tie-dye woman goes forward a bit saying "you didn't even say goodbye." Then she flicked something towards the.. Boogeyman and he caught it- it's a coin.

"A quarter?.." he asks confused before the lady punched him right in the jaw- out went one of his teeth which made me chuckle a bit. Boogeyman grunts a bit in pain before putting his finger over probably where his tooth was. Then he looks up at the lady as she waves her hand to get the pain away saying "and that's for my fairies." Little creatures were flying behind her as they are now flying in front of her, so I softly smile at this. Boogeyman stands up saying "you can't get rid of mE!.. not forever!!" His voice wavered a bit.

Then he smiles a bit saying "there will always be fear!" Sword-man responds with "so what? As long as one child still believes.. we will be here to fight fear." Boogeyman responds with "really? Then what're they doing here?" He motions out to some dark horses. That confused me a bit on what they really are, then I look behind us and see there's some there too. Sword-man laughs a bit saying "they can't be my nightmares, I'm not afraid" I had realization. They detect fear or something, so I softly chuckle at this saying "nope, not mine either, bud."

The boy I first met steps up saying "looks like it's your fear they smell" my jaw drops a bit at that and Boogeyman starts running away scared. The horses run after him which made me put my hand into my hair as I watch them all running. The horses finally caught up to Boogeyman and they disperse into what looks like black sand and swirl around him. Then they drag him down into some hole with what looks like a broken-down bed frame. Boogeyman's scream faded as it's now quiet, up above I see the dark clouds are gone- all the clouds are gone.

Up in the sky I see the full moon there, so I smile at this and the tie-dye lady is laughing a bit as she hugs the boy I first met. One of the little creatures that's with her flies up too while squeaking a few things. Then it flies back towards the lady before Sword-man looks at the boy "are you ready now, Jack?" He asks. I realize they all know eachother as I'm just here, so I finally let myself frown and look down. With that thought in mind I fly off and into the woods to try and figure out what I'm here for... or what I can do.

It looks like we all have some type of powers or something... I mean, one of the people back there was a literal bunny-man. I fly around a bit and grab one of the arrows, I hum a bit before grabbing my bow and aiming at a deer. There's two of them, so I'm bound to at least hit one of them- I let go of the arrow and it flew. It directly hit the deer in the head and it disappeared once it made contact, so my eyes widen. The deer looked at the other and started trying to... I'm guessing mate with it, so I tilt my head.

With that I grab a black arrow and aim at that same deer and let go of the arrow, it instantly hit it and it ended up hitting the other deer instead. It ran off away from the other deer causing it to look down sadly before running off after it again. My eyes widen as I now realize what my arrows are for, so I look at my back confused. 'Would I be able to get rid of the wings?.. just for a short amount of time?' I think a bit confused. I chose to shove the thought aside as I test out flying better instead, so with that I fly up and into the clouds.

The clouds felt so weird as I fly through them, but I laugh as I continue to fly around "you must not let others know who you truly are." My eyes widen at the voice as I look up at the moon "okay... where do I go?" I ask while looking at it. "Go back to that town..." the voice says again which made me hum in thought at this and fly back. I kept flying in this certain direction until that voice starts telling me actual directions. It actually led me to this house, the doors were unlocked which made me tilt my head.

'This doesn't seem like a good idea...' going in though I see that no one's home, so I start to just walk around and get comfy.

-a week later-

I sigh in content as I relax on the couch, but a sudden thud on the roof got my attention which made my eyes widen 'I'm not dealing with that.' Quickly I run towards the closet that's here and fly up, it's a bit small so I'm able to reach both walls. "(Y/n)!- wait... Cupid!!" A voice I barely recognize yells out, but I am not coming out. The only people I met I left since I didn't belong, they have no reason to be looking for me though. I could hear their footsteps walking around the house before they actually got to this closet.

Holding my breath out of fear I watch as light comes in and he looks around the closet, but he doesn't look up 'thank goodness.' Though I get to now barely see that it's the first boy I met... well, first person I met to be precise. He still looks the same and everything, but he sighs before closing the closet again, so I let out my breath. I wait for a short bit before softly flying back down and looking around... it looks like he's gone. Smiling I just go back to walking around, a few thoughts going through my head before realizing I could have fun with my arrows.
