Rise of the Guardians (Jack Frost x reader)

A Crevice

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

"Don't trust him, Jack!.. I'll be okay" I say as I stay still but knowing Pitch and how I'm feeling... he could very well kill me or get close to it. Pitch then adds "you have a bad habit of interfering... now hand it over, and I'll let her go." I still struggle a bit as I shake my head "Frost, listen to me when I say- it's not worth it." The pain starts spreading again, so I scream a bit which made Jack lower the cane in his hands. With that he holds the cane out for Pitch to grab- he does, so I hard swallow as I feel the pain leaving.

Jack glares up at Pitch saying "okay, now let her go" he holds his hand out, so I try to look up at Pitch to see if I can see his reaction. From his hold I can't really see his face- so I'm kind of left in the dark with what's happening. "No" was Pitch's response which made my eyes widen and everything in me to feel empty. Jack looked a bit shocked too as Pitch adds "you said you wanted to be alone, so be alone." 'I've had enough of this-' I think before throwing my head back and basically backwards-headbutted him.

Pitch grunts before he picked me up and threw me, I shriek as I somehow easily flew through the air- landing in a bit of a crevice. I grunt as I hit the walls on the way down and finally land on the ground, it's so cold as I lay here. After a second I hear Jack screaming and it sounds like someone else landed down here. Something else clattered a bit as I struggle with opening my eyes- only thing I see is the snow-covered ground. I softly chuckle before mumbling "g-..great" then it feels like I'm starting to fall asleep right here.

-short time skip-

"(Y/n)!.. are you alright?" A voice asks as I'm being held up, so I open my eyes to see a person with white hair 'Jack... you're okay.' I feel so cold as I start getting more awake, so I nod my head saying "yeah.. as good as I can be." Jack was about to say something, but I sneezed and shake my head a bit before nervously laughing. "S-Sorry" I softly say while looking down, so he holds me close saying "sorry... all I can do is keep you cold." Side smiling I say "at least y-you gave me your sweatshirt earlier, this is all I have to keep me warm."

Jack looks down a bit saying "Pitch was right... I make a mess of everything" I shake my head saying "Jack, listen to me. You've done nothing but try and help, you're still just a curious spirit is all... and I can understand that. Even then, you've still helped a lot" I tried to think back on the one time he didn't help. It was when he got that thing, so I dug into his pants pocket and look at the little tube "don't let this change that." With that I start trying to examine it- but after a second Jack gasped as he took a step back.

I guess I wasn't fully paying attention as I see that the tube was glowing before he scooted back, then I watch the light die out. "Maybe you have to examine this, Frost - the memories lie within this... right?" I say as I hold the container out for him. Jack hesitantly accepts the container before setting his fingers on it, then he got quiet. I'm still shivering as I wait for him to start responding- maybe he's starting to see his memories. Next thing I know is he gasps and looks down at the container before looking at me, so I softly smile.

"Did.. did you see that?!" Jack asks, so I shake my head as he starts to smile "it-it was me!" Jack says before hugging me. I chuckle softly as I try to stop shivering and hug him back "I had a family!- I had a sister." He pushed me back a bit to look me in the eye saying "I saved her" then he starts laughing a bit. A bit of realization hit him before he says "that's why you chose me..." then he looks up at the sky. Looking up I see the full moon, so I nervously bite my lip and mumble "Man In The Moon."

Jack then says "I'm a guardian" now he's standing up before he helps me up, so I say "of course you are, Frost - the Guardian of Fun." Jack smiles at me before saying "we have to get out of here" "ya think?.. I'm freezing to death over here." My little joke was ignored as he slides on his knees towards something- his broken cane. My eyes widen at this as I sit down by his side to see that he's holding both pieces in his hands. He puts both pieces together as we sit here, concentrating on something with them.

I don't know fully on what he's doing, but I say this "come on, I know you can do it... just concentrate, Jack" he looks at me and nods once. With that he stands up while grunting a bit and puts the two pieces back together, then closed his eyes. 'Please, whatever you're doing it better work, Jack!' I think as I sit here shaking a bit badly. He looks at the cane and it's even permeating some type of blue light causing me to gasp. "You're doing it!" I say happily as I barely stand up, so he chuckles and the light died down.

There in his hold is now a fixed cane before he wraps an arm around my waist and takes off into the sky, so I shriek softly as I hang onto him. He's laughing happily as we go up into the air "(Y/n), I owe ya one!" Jack says happily. I chuckle as I say "just get me to warmth, I don't care what" we start heading towards this place in woods. Below this broken down bed frame and down a hole- there is what looks like some type of lair. My eyes widen at this as I look around- of course it's warmer here than where we were, but there's cages.
