Rise of the Guardians (Jack Frost x reader)

Destiny

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

My eyes widen at this and I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed as this happens, so I hang onto Jack's arm a bit scared. He still walked backwards which made me do it too, but I look back and see the yetis are still twirling fire behind us. I flinch as I see that, but that's when Jack has his arm around my waist again before hitting his hook against the floor. The floor starts to ice up a bit as I felt a sudden cold wind go by, so I almost slip as I stand here. The music stops and I look back to see the fire is put out too, so I let my grip loosen a little.

Jack let's go of me while looking forward at the four Guardian's "what makes you think I want to be a Guardian?" He asks them. It was quiet as they looked at him, but Santa starts laughing a bit and closed the book he had in his hands. Then he says "of course you do, music!" The horns start to go off again, so I softly facepalm. "No music!" Jack yells out, the two little elves that were playing them stop and one of them even threw theirs down in anger. Not to mention pushed the other one while walking away, so I try not to laugh at that.

"This is all very flattering, but uh.. you don't want me, you're all 'hard work', 'deadlines'" Jack says while floating up onto the neighboring desk. Then he sat down saying "and I'm snowballs and fun times" I nod in understanding at that. "I can vouch for that, that's what he was doing earlier was throwing snowballs and letting kids have fun." Jack nods while pointing at me before holding his hook again saying "I'm not a Guardian." Bunny laughs a bit saying "that's exactly what I said" then he playfully elbowed Santa.

Santa took his arm away while glaring at him and shaking his head a bit, Tooth flies up by Jack again saying "Jack, I don't think you understand what it is we do." I stand by Jack as I sit behind him since he's kinda the only one who's treated me well out of these guys. Tooth flies up and over toward something behind us and we look to see a giant Earth globe. "Each of those lights, is a child" Tooth started to explain before Santa walked over with his hands on his hips again. Then he adds "a child, who believes" I smile at that and look back up at the globe again happily 'sounds cool.'

He was still talking though "and good or bad, naughty or nice... we protect them" I smile at the sound of them protecting us. 'That's amazing' I think before hearing the sounds of someone trying to talk with something in their mouth. "Tooth, fingers out of mouth" Santa says, so I look by me and see Tooth's hands were in Jack's mouth again. "Pfft-" I got out before I chuckled a bit and hear her apologize to Jack a bit before she flew away. Jack went back to standing on the floor, so I follow after him as Santa starts to talk again.

"No more wishy-washy, Pitch is out there doing who knows what!" Were his words as he takes a few steps forward towards the globe. He still has his hands on his hips as he looks down at the floor, I raise an eyebrow at that. 'Pitch?.. who's that??' I think a bit confused, Jack chuckled a bit at the sound of that person though. "The Boogeyman?" Was his question, so my eyes widen "he's real too?!?" I ask a bit shocked. Santa points at us saying "yes! When Pitch threatens us, he threatens them as well" 'oh.. wow, that doesn't sound scary at all.'

Jack grabs my hand as he says "all the reason to find someone more qualified" then he starts to walk away from the four of them. I walked by his side, whether it be because he has my hand or I'm used to being by his side, I still did it. "Pick? You think we pick?? No, you were chosen, like we were all chosen, by Man in Moon." Santa's words got my eyes to widen as I stop walking which got Jack to stop walking too. 'Wasn't Jack all sad earlier because the Man in the Moon hasn't talked with him??' I think to myself.

The memory came back as I look down, but Jack faced them saying "what?.." I didn't bother to turn around as I just look up at him. "Last night, Jack - he chose you" Tooth explained before Bunny says "maybe" so with that I look up at the moon. It's just sitting there, but I notice Jack is looking too "Man in the Moon, he talks to you?" He asks them. Santa then says "you see, you cannot say no, it is destiny" I blink a few times while trying not to fangirl. 'Destiny stuff actually is real!!!' I think and smile big and adjust my glasses, but I squeal softly.

"Why wouldn't he tell me that himself?" Jack asks softly while still looking up at the moon, so I set my hand on his shoulder comfortingly. Jack then shrugged off my hand while combing his hand through his hair a bit looking upset. "After three hundred years, this is his answer? To spend eternity like you guys?" Jack asks upset. I watch him a bit shocked as he continued "cooped up in some.. some hideout, thinking of- of new ways to bribe kids?" I chuckled at that. "No no" he says while sounding like he was trying not to laugh at the idea himself, then he glares up at the moon.

'If I wasn't in a room with my childhood idols I'd think he'd sound crazy' "that's not for me!!" Jack yelled out before looking at the group. "No offense" he says with a straight face, so I finally take off the hoodie and hold it out for him. I didn't feel cold anymore, so he accepted it and put it back on as Bunny was glaring at him. "How was that not offensive??" Bunny asks, but Jack starts to take a few steps away again and takes my hand again. I stuck by his side as Bunny kept talking "ya know what I think, I- I think we just dodged a bullet."
