After listening to Steve and Jenny gush about how much they like each other I'm more then thrilled to be at Amelia's trailer

I quickly get out of the car and rush inside

"Eddie!" Dustin says and I smile "hey Henderson, hey everyone" I look at mike and he has a weird look on his face "I'm still so confused why you're dating Amelia!" "Max is your mom gonna be home tonight or can me and Jenny crash in that room" she rolls her eyes "ugh, she's not gonna be home. But don't do.. anything!?" I laugh and she flips me off and goes to her room

"I swear if I hear y'all, Eddie and Amelia just stopped" Jenny cackles "we're not gonna do anything!" I says

"Whatever" Robin says as she tried to get comfortable on the couch

I look at Jenny and she gets up and we go into their moms room. "Smells like alcohol" I tell her and she nods "it always does" I look at her weirdly "their moms an alcoholic has been since Billy died and his dad left her. He took everything that's why they live in this trashy trailer" I nod

"Geez how did I not know?" She sighs "Amelia doesn't ever talk about it and max doesn't really... talk? Not sure but that's why" I sit on the bed and look at her "you're so pretty" I smile "thank you" she smiles back

She sits next to me then we both get comfortable and lay down facing each other

"If we start dating are we gonna be as cute as Amelia and Eddie?" I laugh "Cuter" she dramatically gasps "hate to break it to you Stevie boy but no one can be cuter then them" I roll my eyes

"Yeah yeah whatever" she smiles "I really wanna kiss you right now" she confesses

"Then do it" she leans in and kisses me, i quickly return it and get closer

We continue this and with both our shirts off but I sigh "we can't tonight" she groans "it feels wrong, our friends are around and it would be in Amelia's moms fricking bed" she nods "I guess, but cuddle my" I nod and spoon her

"Night Stevie" I smirk "night Jenny"

Maxs pov
It's about 2 am and I can't sleep I have a horrible headache

I walk into the bathroom and take some meds then go to the kitchen to grab a water

"Hey" I hear causing me to jump "what the- shit Robin you scared me" she laughs "sorry" I shake my head "why are you up?" I ask her I mean it's weird

"Couldn't sleep,you?" I sigh "headache" she nods "headaches fucking suck" I nod again "yeah" she takes a moment

We sit in silence and right as I was about to leave she said something no one has said to me in a while "How are you doing? I know everything has been on Amelia but I feel like we need to pay more attention to you" I smile a bit

"I um I feel like shit. But I haven't really talked to anyone because I feel like no one cares? I don't know I mean Amelia is the golden child that everyone needs to know everything about. So if she's not ok then everyone is on their knees to help her, I just feel like a black sheep that's just kinda here" she nods and looks at me with a knowing look

"I've been friends with Amelia for a bit now and I can understand you. I always feel like the forgot one in our main friendship but it's not her fault. She's just super likable and friendly and super super pretty. So people just automatically love her" I roll my eyes but nod

I understand I guess

"But she loves you, talks about you all the time. She's worried about you even if she doesn't act like it." I shake my head "if she cares soooi much she would talk to me" she shakes her head at me

"She's worried you hate her and don't wanna talk to her, but trust me she wants to talk to you she wants to know you're ok. Everyone does. Max you need it let them in" I sigh

"And if you don't feel comfortable with that, you could always talk to me because I will understand. I know I seem like this talkative weird annoying girl which I am but I also am so much more. You should probably get to bed the headache will go away if you get good sleep" I smile

"Thanks" she nods

"Of course"

I walk to my room with this weird feeling of... relief? I don't know. It was just nice to talk to someone and it's nice to know Amelia cares and other people do too. Maybe it's my fault

I need to just relax a bit and let people in again
