Chapter 4: Bringing Peace

The trio continues their travel to Jasper as they have a chat. "You know Chris, you are welcome to join us. Our pack would love to meet you." said Kate as Chris sighed. "Well, although I want to, I've been gone for a while now and I think it's time for me to head back home. I don't want my pack to worry." said Chris as they both nodded. Soon, they arrive to Jasper. "Well he we are." said Humphrey as they jumped off. "Well Kate and Humphrey, it's been quite an adventure." said Chris. "Yeah. It sure has." said Kate. "Until we meet again." said Chris as he slowly made his way back home. As Kate and Humphrey walk back to Jasper, they were about exchanged feelings for each other until it was cut short by the sight of the two packs at war. As they return, Kate announces that she will marry Garth to unite the packs. The day of the wedding, a distraught Humphrey bids farewell to Kate, and decides to leave as a lone wolf, much to Kate's disappointment. Meanwhile, Chris walks back home as he turned to back to the sound of howling. "What's going on back there?" said Chris as he sprinted back to Jasper. During the ceremony, Kate backs out and declares her love for Humphrey, as Garth subsequently declares his love for Lily. Tony, enraged, declares war on the Western pack. "All you had to do was follow our customs! But no, you allow your daughter to not just run away but also fall in love with an omega!!" roared Tony. A brawl then ensues until they heard a loud howl. They all turn and see Chris on the top of the hill. "Chris!" said Kate and Humphrey. He jumped down, landing between the packs. "Who's that?" asked Winston as Chris approached them. "Dad, this is Chris. A friend. He too was kidnapped by humans." said Kate. "What is this nonsense?!" exclaimed Tony. "Relax! I just came here to lower the tension between you two packs." said Chris. "Don't you tell me to calm down!" said Tony as he sent two of his wolves to attack him. "Wait, stop!" said Kate as suddenly Chris turned into his human form, shocking them all. He dodged the two wolves, grabbed them by their scruff and bashed them together. "Knock it OFF!! I am not here to fight!" yelled Chris as he threw them back on the ground. Everyone stared at him. "Wait, so your...from a different pack?" said Winston as Chris looks at him. "Yes. I am from the Nightwolf pack." said Chris as everyone murmured. "The Nightwolf pack? That name hasn't been heard of in years!" said a wolf. "Malcolm. Are you his?" said Winston. "Yes. I'm his son." said Chris as everyone gasped. "What happened to Malcolm?" asked Winston. Chris sighed. "He died a year ago. Killed." he said as he had a flashback. "And Claudia?" asked Eve. "She's fine. She's just retired." said Chris. "So why are you here?" asked Tony. "The reason why is because a few days ago, my home was attacked by a couple of wolves. Were they any of yours?" asked Chris as both leaders shook their heads. "We've never sent any of ours to attack. We didn't know about your pack until now." said Winston. "Well then, it must've been rogue wolves. But since I'm here...I have a solution to end this conflict between you two packs. Cause let's be honest...you guys fighting over food is like a baby fighting over a toy." said Chris as everyone was silent but Humphrey chuckled now knowing Chris has a little sense of humor. "Look guys, I understand if you have your own valley and you guys want caribou so you don't starve. So why not just come together and share." said Chris. "Chris is right. And besides...I'm in love with an omega. Humphrey." said Kate as she went beside him and smiled. As they confessed, Garth confessed his love for Lily. Finally, after much time with processing what happened, Winston and Tony abolish the law against marriage between Alphas and Omegas, and accept a union of the two packs via marriage with Kate and Humphrey, and Garth and Lily. As the wolves celebrated, Chris, once again, prepared to leave. "Chris!" said Kate as he turns to see her with Humphrey. "Thank you. Thanks for everything." said Kate. Chris smiled. "No problem. Glad I was there to help." said Chris. "You know you are welcome to stay with us, Chris. As a token of my appreciation, my pack is in your debt." said Winston as he smiled. "Well, allow me to return the favor. Follow me." said Chris as Winston, Kate and Humphrey followed him back to the Sanctuary, where Carla awaited. "Chris!" said Carla as she sprinted to him. They both kissed as they smiled. "You've been gone for so long. Where have you been?" asked Carla. "I've been on a...little trip." said Chris as she raised an eyebrow. "A trip? Really?" said Carla as Luna approached them. "Daddy!" said Luna as she sprinted to him and hugs him around his leg. "Hey sweetie." said Chris as he kissed her head. "Sir, were you able to find the ones responsible for attacking our home?" asked a wolf. "No. But we did in fact made new friends. Pack everything up, everyone! Were going to the valleys!" said Chris as everyone cheered. The Nightwolf tribe began moving to the valley, where the three packs unite as one. "Carla, I want you to meet my new friends. Kate and Humphrey." said Chris as they waved at her. "Nice to meet you two. What has happened?" asked Carla. "Well, I was heading to the valley before I got hit with a tranquilizer dart and sent to Idaho, where I met these two, who were also taken from Jasper. So we worked together and got back to Jasper." said Chris. "And he also stopped a war between the packs." said Humphrey. "That sounds quite the adventure." said Carla as Chris smiled. "Come on, let's go home." said Kate as the 4 wolves walked back to the valley, where they see a brand new home with all the packs together sharing the food and at peace with each other. "Welcome to the new Sanctuary." said Chris as all the wolves howled at the full moon and celebrated.
