Chapter 13: A Different Dimension

A few years since Chris's defeat over Death, he continues his vow to protect the Sanctuary from any threats. Apart from that, he continues to train Luna, who is now 8 years old, with her powers and her newfound abilities since he and Carla allowed her to join them on battles. Chris and Luna were in the forest, going for a run. "Well done, Luna. Your getting better and better since we started!" said Chris. "Thanks, Daddy! I'm just so happy to get the opportunity!" said Luna. "Alright, I think that's enough practice for today. Come on. Let's get back." said Chris as they returned to the Sanctuary, where they see Carla with food. "Hey! Looks like someone's starving." she said as they laughed. "Thanks, honey." said Chris as they went to their den and ate. "You know, honey? I've been wondering...if there are any universes out there. If there are different versions of us." said Carla. "You know? Sometimes I think about the same thing. Who knows what could be outside this universe." said Chris. Then there was chattering as Kate approaches them. "Guys! Someone's being attacked!" she said as they follow her and they see a female stranger, with black straight hair and black-lensed glasses attacked by a rogue wolf. Chris immediately turns into a wolf and scares it off after a few bash attacks. "Are you alright?" asked Chris. "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you." said the stranger as she fixed her glasses. "Who are you? A scientist?" asked Chris. "My name is Mei Jones. I'm a lone scientist." said Mei. "Follow me. You can fill me in where it's safe." said Chris as they entered the Sanctuary, where Mei sees the wolves living in harmony. "This is wonderful." she said as she smiled. "Thanks. We do our best here. Mei, this is my wife, Carla and our daughter, Luna." said Chris as they wave. "So are you a scientist?" asked Carla as Mei nodded. "What brings you here?" asked Chris. "Well, I was venturing in the forest, hoping to test a machine I've been building for a few years. I was part of a science facility a while back. But after an experiment went wrong, it exploded and killed almost everyone but me. I survived and managed to leave with my equipment. I took the time to recover most of my tools and took refuge at a camp. But with no electricity, my machines were faulting. I was hoping to find a electric source before I stumbled upon that wolf." said Mei. Chris then uses his powers. "Allow me." he said as he powered her backpack. Mei was amazed. "Fascinating!" she said. "So what device is it that your working on?" asked Carla. "Let me show you." said Mei as she built the equipment, revealing a portal type machine. "Woah! What is that?" asked Luna. "This is a dimension portal. The purpose of this machine...it can take us...to different dimensions." said Mei. "Wow." said all. Mei then pulls out device wristpads. "These are communicators. With these, we can communicate while we're in other dimensions. So let's say if you were to go to another dimension and I stay behind. We would communicate and I would stay behind to bring you back." said Mei. "Is is possible that there are other universes out there?" asked Carla. "My theory, I think there are millions of universes that have different versions of ourselves." said Mei. "Can we try it?" asked Luna. "Well, I haven't found the time to properly test it yet. But we can try!" said Mei as she starts up the machine. "Come on. Come on." said Mei as suddenly the portal slowly powers up. "It's working!" said Mei as everyone braced. It reached for the max only for it to power down. "Oh dear. It would seem there has been a slight malfunction." said Mei. "Aww." said Luna as she looked down. "It's okay, sweetie. We can try to fix it up and use it some other time." said Chris. "You must be hungry, Mei. Why not I make you something?" offered Carla as they leave but suddenly the machine began sparking. "Uh...guys?" said Luna as they turned and saw the machine wiring up. "Mei? Is that supposed to happen?" asked Chris in concern. "N-No, it shouldn't." she replied as she tried to shut it off. Suddenly, it exploded and a portal opened. It started sucking things in. It then started to drag Luna. "Ah! Mommy!! Daddy!!" she yelled. "LUNA!!" yelled Chris and Carla as they tried to drag her out. But it started dragging them in as they all fall in. The machine then stopped as it exploded, sending Mei back outside. Kate and Humphrey approach. "What happened? Mei are you okay?" asked Kate as she was unconscious. "Where's Chris and Carla?" asked Humphrey as they see the machine burning as other wolves quickly put it out. Meanwhile, Chris, Carla and Luna were flying through a stream as they held onto each other tight. "Daddy! What's happening?" asked Luna in worry. "Just hang on and don't let go!!" said Chris as a bright flash erupts. Seconds later, they entered a new dimension as Chris was split from Carla and Luna. He would eventually crash through a building, falling unconscious. Carla and Luna, meanwhile, crashed in a alleyway by a dumpster. Carla looks up and sees the blue sky and clouds. She would then look around the area and sees a city. "Luna! Are you okay?" said Carla as she helps her up. "I'm fine. Where's Daddy?" asked Luna. Carla looks around and tried to find Chris. "Babe! Where are you?" called out Carla. She then heard a beeping. It was the wrist watch Mei gave them. She immediately answers it. "Mei?" said Carla. "Carla? Are you there? Can you hear me?" she said. "Mei! We hear you! Where are we?" asked Carla. "It appears your in another universe. But I can't get a fix of the type your in." said Mei as she tries to fix her monitor. "Do you have any idea where Chris is?" asked Carla. Mei then turns on the locator. "It looks like he's crashed in...a theater?" said Mei in confusion. "It's not far from where you are. When you find him, find somewhere discreet and lay low. I'll get the portal ready to return you home." said Mei. "Alright. Come on, Luna." said Carla as she and Luna headed to the theater. Meanwhile, Chris slowly wakes up as he vision was blurry. He sees figures surrounding him. "Who is he?" said a voice. "I don't know but he looks like an alien or something." said another voice. Chris's vision slowly clears and to his surprise, he sees talking animals. A koala, a lizard, 2 pigs, a porcupine, a gorilla and an elephant. "AH!!" he yelled as he immediately stood. "Woah, woah, take it easy." said the koala. "W-Who are you and where am I?" asked Chris. "We should be asking you the same thing. You just came crashing through the sky!" said the porcupine. "Alright, you got a point. But the least you could tell is where I am." said Chris. "Your in Catalonia." said the female pig. "Well you see...I'm not sure that I'm in the right place." said Chris. "What do you mean?" asked the elephant. "Wait...my family. They're still out there!!" said Chris as he tried to run but tripped fell on his knees. "Woah! Woah! Easy, you had a hard fall." said the lizard as she helped him. Then, the back door opened and in came Carla and Luna. "Chris!" said Carla. "Daddy!" said Luna as they hugged him tightly. "I'm guessing that's his family." said the porcupine. "Are you two okay?" asked Chris. "Were fine. We were just worried about you." said Carla. "Um, Daddy? Are those talking animals?" asked Luna as she climbed on his shoulder. "So...where did you guys come from?" asked the elephant. "Oh right. You see, we are from...another universe." said Chris. "Another universe? Who are you?" asked the koala. Chris then sighs deeply. "My name is Chris." he said. "Your name is Chris? We have a friend with that name as well!" said the gorilla. Then, the front door opened and in came a tall wolf with gray and white fur. "Guys! Are you okay? I just saw-" He froze when he saw Chris, Carla and Luna. "Uh guys? Who are they?" asked the wolf. "That's him." said the porcupine. The wolf then approaches Chris as they stare into each other's eyes. Chris then takes off his mask, revealing his face to everyone. Shocking them. "So your me...but as a wolf?" said Chris. "I guess so." said Carla. "Babe? Didn't Mei mention that there are different universes that have different versions of ourselves?" asked Chris. "Yeah. She did and she wasn't wrong." said Carla. "So who are you guys then?" asked Chris. "Well, I'm Chris. These are my friends. Buster, Rosita, Gunter, Ash, Johnny, and my childhood friend, Meena." he said. "Real quick before we make things confusing, call me Amoux. It's the name I originally owned after becoming the person I am now. So that way I can call you way." said Amoux. "Okay, that'll work." said Chris. "This is my wife, Carla and this is our daughter, Luna." said Amoux as they waved. "You guys should probably get out of here. Cops are on their way." said Buster. "Come with me. I'll take you to my place to lay low." said Chris as the family follows him to the back, while the others distract the officers and emergency services. 15 minutes later, they arrived at Chris's penthouse. "Alright, this is us. Just let me tell my family that we have guests." said Chris as he entered while the family stayed aroud the corner of the living room. "Babe! Kids! I'm home." said Chris as they see a female wolf with bluish gray and white fur. Two teenage wolves, a girl and a boy. "Hey babe. Is everyone at the theater okay?" asked the female wolf. "Everyone's fine. Oh um, Porsha, kids...we have some visitors and try to give them a warm welcome. Come on in." said Chris as Chris, Carla and Luna came from around the corner. The family was shocked. "Uh, Daddy? Who are they?" asked the teenage wolf. "There may be a lot to explain here." said Carla. "Woah! They look awesome!" said the other teenage wolf. "Well...we're from another universe. I'm him but a different version. So to try not to confuse you all, just call me Amoux. This is my wife Carla and my daughter, Luna." said Amoux as Luna waved. "Well, this is my wife, Porsha and these are our kids, Luna and Leo." said Chris. Leo then immediately approached Amoux. "Have you fought bad guys before? I bet you kicked their butts!" Leo said in excitement as Amoux chuckled. "You must be one hyped kid." he said as he scruffled with his head. Luna approached Little Luna, who was hiding behind her father. "So your Luna. OMG, you look so adorable! You have such nice hair!" said Luna as she brushed Little Luna's curly hair. "Um, thank you. My mom helped me with it." she said. "Come with me. I can show you the ropes on being the perfect hair stylist." said Luna as she takes her to her room. Porsha then approaches Carla. "So what's it like being with him?" asked Porsha. "Oh. Me and Chris, we've known each other since high school. He actually stood up for me when a jerk couple poured milk over my hoodie." said Carla. Porsha gasped. "That's horrible! Were you ok?" she said in worry. "I was, when he came." said Carla as she looked at Chris talking with other self and Leo. "So what about you?" asked Carla. Porsha sighed. "Well when I met Chris...he rose to stardom with his life as a singer. His mother died in a car accident when he was 18 and he has always wore the necklace she wore when she was his age. Her name was Queen and she was one of the greatest singers of all time. Sometime after his debut, he and the others came to Redshore City and that's when I met him. I've dreamed of seeing him in person but I thought I would never have the chance. But when I did, I was excited and fell in love with him. I've gone through a lot in my childhood and...I was struggling. My mom left when I was 5 and my dad just spoiled me. I've wished that I would see us together as a happy family again. Before now, my dad was a jerk. He only cared about money and fame and would just spoil me, making me a spoiled brat but a year later, he apologized and we reconciled." said Porsha. "Well my dad is still a jerk to this day. He wasn't the supportive father I hoped for. When I was 3, he was abusive towards my mom and that's when she made the decision to raise me herself. I hadn't seen him since." said Carla. "Hmm. So after we did our show...I practically confessed to Chris when my father was arrested for nearly killing him and Buster. We had a good 5 years together until we decided to start a family of our own. We had Luna for about 3 years before Leo came in and for the last 20 years...we've had a good time since." said Porsha as Carla smiled. "You seem to be the perfect wife." she said as Porsha held her hand. "Thanks. You too." she replied. "So you lead a pack called the Nightwolves?" asked Chris. "Yup. My father was the original leader before he died. He gave me his powers when I was 18, believing I was ready. He even gave me his necklace." said Amoux as he shows them. "Huh. My mom gave me her necklace too." said Chris as he shows them the picture of Queen and Malcolm when Chris was born. "That's a nice photo." said Amoux as he smiled. "And you Leo play soccer?" asked Amoux. "Yeah. My team and I recently won the state championship." said Leo as Amoux smiled. Meanwhile, Luna was showing Little Luna her room. "Wow! Your room is amazing!" she said. "Thanks! This is what happens when you have parents with money but not being spoiled of course." said Luna as Little Luna turns to see a picture frame of Luna and a male wolf sharing a kiss. "Who's that?" asked Little Luna. "Oh that's my boyfriend, Jared. We've been dating for the past 3 months." said Luna. "Oh." Little Luna replied. "You know? It's nice to see a different version of myself." said Luna as she smiled. Meanwhile back in the living room, things were going great for everyone, until Mei contacts them. "Chris! Carla! Can you hear me?" asked Mei. "Loud and clear, Mei. What's up? Did you fix the machine?" asked Carla. "It's rebooting as we speak. But it's gonna take a day to be fully prepared. So your guys are gonna have to spend the night in the dimension." said Mei. "Alright. How's everything at the Sanctuary?" asked Chris. "It's actually fine. Kate and Humphrey have been keeping everything in check while you were gone." said Mei as Chris nodded. "Alright. We'll see you tomorrow, Mei." he said. "Well, looks like we'll be having a sleepover with you guys." said Chris. "Alright no problem. We can set up the living room for you guys." said Porsha as they head to the kitchen for dinner. Later in the night, the family slept in the living room. "Well this wasn't how I was expecting the day to go." said Carla as Chris slightly chuckled. "Yeah, you said it." he replied as the couple turned and sees Luna sleeping peacefully on a small futon. "Goodnight, babe." said Carla as she peacefully falls asleep. Chris smiled as he kissed her forehead and too falls asleep. The next morning, Chris, Carla and Luna were actually enjoying their visit in the dimension. Chris took the time and enjoyed music and even gave his counterpart ideas for a new song. Carla and Porsha gotten along pretty well and from the way they've been chatting, they were like sisters. Luna, Leo and Little Luna have been bonding pretty well and the three expressed their lives pretty well. The rest of the Moon Troupe would eventually visit and spend some time with Chris, Carla and Luna. Later on the night, it was time to head home. The group heads to the roof of the penthouse, where they would say their goodbyes. "We're really gonna miss you guys." said Porsha. "Hey! Maybe if Mei can get her machine working properly, we could probably come back for a visit!" said Carla. "Awesome!" said Leo. "Bye!" said Carla and Luna as they enter the portal. Chris then approaches Amoux. "Nice to know I'm not the only one in a universe." said Chris as Amoux smiled. "Same here. You keep doing what you love, El Lobo." said Amoux. "You keep protecting the innocent, Amoux." said Chris as they shook hands. "See you later, Chris." said Chris as he smiled. "You too, Chris." said Amoux as he stepped through the portal and were slowly returning home. "Nice to know were not the only ones out there." said Chris as Carla leaned her head on his shoulder. "Yup. Glad to be right." she said as Chris chuckled and kissed her forehead.

Obviously I picked Sing: The Era of Music because it's my most viewed story. Plus this chapter is probably the longest I've done in ANY of my stories (Maybe. I'm not too sure). Real talk, I just want to say thank you guys for over 4K views on that story and the numbers keep rising for this story as well.
