10 years later, it was nothing but peace for the Nightwolves pack. Leo, who was now 10 years old, began practicing with his father and things would go great. As for Luna, who is now 18 years old, has done training but grows tired of doing the same old basics. Luna was in the woods and Leo was with her. "Luna...are you sure coming out here was a good idea?" asked Leo in worry. "Relax, Leo. We're just going on a run." said Luna. "Does Mom and Dad know at least?" asked Leo. Luna groaned. "Yes, Leo. I told them I was going for a run and you were coming with." she said. "Alright. As long as they know." said Leo. The two continued with their walk as the shade was getting darker. "Uh Luna? It's really dark in here." said Leo in worry. "Leo, you worry too much. Were fine and nothing is gonna get us. Plus I can protect you." said Luna as suddenly a group of coyotes emerged from a bush and ran towards the siblings. Luna pulls out two pairs of daggers and threw them towards them. "Run!" yelled Luna as the two ran from the coyotes. It gave chase as Luna and Leo ran into a dead end. "Oh no, were cornered!" said Leo in worry as Luna stood in front of him. "Well, well. Looks like lost pups are not with their pack." said the leader. "Who are you?" demanded Luna. "We are coyotes. My boys and I couldn't help but notice you stumbling in our territory." said the lead coyote. "You better leave me and my brother alone." warned Luna. "What are you gonna do about it? Your just a weak girl, who can't even fight." said the coyote. One of the coyotes leaped towards them until suddenly Amoux tackled them to the ground and scared them away with his hand cannon. "Luna, Leo! Are you both okay?" asked Amoux. "Were fine." said Leo as he sighed deeply. "Luna...when we get back, your mother and I wanna have a talk with you." said Amoux as Luna looks down, knowing that she's in trouble. They made their return to the Sanctuary. "Leo, go to your room." said Chris as he took off his mask. Leo went to his room as Chris and Luna were in the living room, soon joined by Carla. "Luna...what did your mom and I specifically told you?" asked Chris. "Don't go to the deepest part of the woods." said Luna. "Exactly but yet you went there anyway." said Chris. "Luna, do you understand what you did back there? You not only disobeyed me and your father but you also put Leo in harm's way. He could've gotten hurt or worse...killed!" said Carla. Little did the 3 know that Leo was listening through a hole from his floor in his room. "Mom, Dad, I'm sorry. It's not like I took Leo with me just so he could get hurt. Besides, I thought I was able to protect him. I'm 18 years old, I've trained day by day, month by month, year by year! I feel like I'm confident enough to handle not only myself but also look out for Leo!" said Luna. Chris sighed deeply. "Luna...I understand that you believe that your ready. But you must remember that your actions, depending on the situation, have consequences, consequences that affect others!" said Chris. "Oh really? Dad...you told me when you were 18, you fought for what you believed in, regardless of what anyone else said. Why can't I do the same? What if I had the same mentality you had? Do you think I'm not strong enough??" said Luna. It got to the point where things would get heated. "That's not what I'm saying. It's different, Luna. We are in a different land of territory. We don't deal with thugs and criminals, we deal with much larger threats!!" said Chris as there was nothing but silence. "I'm sorry, Luna. But your grounded. Go to your room." said Chris as Luna's eyes widened. She slowly glared at her father before rushing to her room, slamming her door shut. Chris looks down as he sighed. "You okay?" asked Carla. "I'm fine. I was...I was hoping not having an argument with Luna ever but...I just did." said Chris. "It's fine, Chris. Hopefully Luna will get over it in the morning, and would learn her lesson." said Carla. Hours later, everyone was sleeping as the moon shines below the Sanctuary. Chris was outside of Luna's door as he gently knocks. "Luna? Are you still awake?" he asked. He listens carefully as he hears her on the other side of the door. "Luna...I know you can hear me. I can see your shadow." said Chris. "Whatever you're trying to say, don't even bother." asked Luna. "Look, I know I was a bit hard on you, I just want to know if you're feeling..." Luna snapped. "Dad! If you want me to feel better, then leave me alone! Please!" yelled Luna. Chris sighed. "If it makes you feel better, Luna...then you don't have to come in to training tomorrow. Take all the time you need. I love you." said Chris as he returns to his room. Luna, meanwhile, was in her room, laying in bed. Still frustrated, she leaves through the window and heads to Mei's lab.
