Yanae's POV

"Goddamn, why did I buy her this? This shit is so heavy." Giselle complained, carrying the big gift box she got for Ryujin.

"Seriously, what did Hyejin buy her to make it so fucking heavy? I feel like I'm carrying a big ass rock." Karina complained also.

I me and Soojin laughed at the two, carrying all the lighter boxes and gift bags.

Our friends were supposed to drop off their gifts for Ryujin and come to Wheein's party but since some of them didn't, we now have to carry them.

"Are we gonna stay at this party or what?" Giselle asked, already annoyed.

"If Yanae wants to stay, we'll stay Gigi." Soojin said. "Now stop complaining and ring the doorbell."

*Ding dong*

We waited for a few seconds before someone opened the door.

It was Jeongyeon.

"Hey~~ Come in, Ryujin's about to blow out her candles!" She said as she let us pass through.

As we walked further in we saw a quite unhappy birthday girl. She looked like she don't wanna be here right now.

Why is she so upset?

I am so fucking confused.

"Ryujin-ah." I tapped on her shoulder, making her look at me.

As soon as she saw me, she smiled. The unhappy birthday girl is gone.

"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Ryujin~~ Happy Birthday to you~~!" She blew out her candles as everybody cheered.

I saw Arin, Seunghee, Jiho, Hyojung, Mimi, Yubin and Yoonjoo next to her, cheering louder than anyone.

Now it was time to open her presents.

Too bad she doesn't know what's inside mine.

"Let's get out of here." I whispered to Soojin.

"Already?" I nodded.

"Yah, Kari, Gigi. Let's go!" She whisper-yelled before they quietly and slowly started heading towards the door with me behind them.

Ryujin's POV

Where are they going? Whyyyyyy?

Worst Birthday Ever. No best friend!

But no time to be sad. The worst thing is to be sad on your birthday. Your damn birthday!

I decided to open Arin's gift first since it was the closest.

"Awww I love it! Thank you!"

Next I decided to open the gift from Yaneli.

I opened the little box and what I saw inside seriously broke my heart. My eyes started watering, I couldn't hold back my tears.

Our friendship ring.

I immediately stood up and ran full speed out the door, ignoring all the friends and family calling out to me to come back.

I saw Yanae alone with Karina, Soojin and Giselle walking further with Yanae behind but it seemed like she didn't care.

I ran up to her and sobbed uncontrollably as I hugged her from behind as tight as I can.

She stopped walking but she just stood still as I couldn't stop crying.

What have I done? All of this just because I wanted to get closer with my crush. I messed up real bad. I wish I could just go back to how it was.

"I-I'm sorryy... P-Please forgive me... I love you~~~."

My heart is in a million pieces, I can't believe I let this happen, for just wanting to be with my damn crush.

And I didn't even realize how much I hurt Yaneli by ignoring her because all my attention was on Arin. I'm literally so stupid.

I faced Yaneli and I saw that she was crying also, which broke me even more.

"Why are you crying?" I asked, wiping her tears gently.

"Why are you crying?" She asked back, making me chuckle and look down to see her ring in my hand.

"Why do you wanna leave me?" I held up her ring.

"You look like you don't even know I exist anymore."

"Are you stu-" I stopped before I hugged her tight again and snuggled my face into the crook of her neck.

"I love you. You're my best friend, that'll never change... Now will you forgive me please~~~? If you won't I'll be sad~~~."

"Fine~~~ I just want things to go back to how they were."

"Me too." I wiped both of our tears as we pulled away and stared at each other for a moment.

Finally.

I feel my heart putting itself back together as I held her hands in mine.

I promise myself I won't let anything even remotely close happen.

I got down on one knee as if I was proposing to her and put the ring on her right middle finger.

"Now don't you dare take it off."
