I stayed curled up on the couch until Stefania came over. I moved further away from her, not knowing if I could trust her yet. I cried more. I wanted Danielle, Danielle was safe. I felt my breathing pick up in pace. "Bambina, can I hold your hands?" Stefania asked me.
"Don't touch me." I muttered out.
"Ok, I won't come any closer." She said. "Can I try something to help you calm down?" I nodded. "Ok, what are 5 things you can see?"
"Um, the door, you, that pillow, my blanket, and the table."
"Now what are 4 things you can touch?"
"T-t-the couch, the pillow, my legs, and my arms."
"Good job, now 3 things you can hear."
"Your voice, air conditioning, and um my breathing."
"Now 2 things that you can smell."
"Um, the air freshner and your perfume."
"And what is one thing you can taste."
"Some juice from earlier."
"Good job bambina. You did amazing. Is there anything I can do to help you calm down more?" She asked me.
"Can you just hold me?" I asked.
"Of course." She said as I moved over to be leaning against her. I felt her arms wrap around me as she just hugged me.
"I want Danielle." I said quietly.
"I know you do, but we need to let her work for a bit. You will see her soon, I promise. Why don't you try to get some sleep."
"I can't."
"Why not bambina?"
"I just can't." I said, but this wasn't completly true. I could sleep, but then I would get a nightmare and I really don't want that.
"Are you hungry?" Stefania asked as she heard my stomach growl.
"A little." I said.
"Come on, let's get something to eat." She said. I got up and took her hand as we walked to get some food. I got a yogurt and quickly ate it before walking back to my trailer with Stefania.
Stefania's POV
Once we got back to Mia's trailer, I sat back down on the couch with Mia in my lap. "Do you like Danielle?" She said out of nowhere.
"Umm." I replied. "Why are you asking me?"
"The way you look at her, it's pretty obvious to me that you like her, even if you don't realize it."
"I'll think on that one bambina." I said, chuckling. "You look sleepy, why don't you rest a bit."
"I'm not-" she says getting interrupted by a yawn, "tired."
"Just try to sleep a bit."
"Fine." She said, finally giving in and falling asleep after a couple minutes.
