As much as the poor little kiddo has such a strong aura, but there were still moments that he couldn't help himself.

Like right now.

When she heard that, Cheng Huan assumed that he was instructed by Jiang MingYuan to say it. She was a little nervous. Yet, when she looked over at Jiang MingYuan, she noticed the surprised look on him as well and calmed down.

Pulling the corner of her lips a little, she pushed her son back down in bed and pulled the blanket over him. "Don't sit up. You don't want to catch the cold."

XingXing struggled with annoyance. "Mommy, I am being serious right now!"

Cheng Huan held down her son and wouldn't let him get back up. "Your serious matter right now is to go to sleep. Otherwise, you won't grow any taller. We can talk about the rest tomorrow."

And, just like that, the poor little child with limited freedom was shot down.

He grumbled disgruntledly and pouted. He gave his dad a look of being treated unfairly, seemingly somewhat annoyed at him for not doing anything about it.

A child was a child after all. As much as he was unwilling, XingXing still closed his eyes and fell asleep shortly. Listening to his long and even breathing, Cheng Huan let out a sigh of relief secretly and her tightened back relaxed.

She walked out of the room quietly followed by Jiang MingYuan.

Closing the door behind them, the man said goodbye softly. "I am going to head out now."

Owing to what had happened tonight, the atmosphere was a little odd when the two of them were alone with each other. But now that Jiang MingYuan was taking, Cheng Huan couldn't possibly just wave her goodbye. She thought about it for a couple of seconds and decided to see him out.

"Seeing him out" really just meant walking him to the elevator. The elevator stopped on the first floor and, perhaps someone was using it at the moment, it did not come immediately after the button was pushed.

The two both went silent and, after a little, the indicator for the elevator finally began to change.

Cheng Huan thought about it for a while before she finally made up her mind. Licking her lips a little, she stared at the numbers that was going up and said softly, "Um... about what XingXing said tonight. Don't mind it. He didn't know what he was talking about."

"What did he say?" Jiang MingYuan turned and looked at her side profile. His eyes darkened and he asked, "You mean about us living together?"

Even though the two of them were talking about the same thing but, when the subject was broached by a different person, the impact on the listener also varied.

When it was brought up by XingXing, Cheng Huan only felt slightly awkward and a little nervous. When it was brought up by Jiang MingYuan, she was even more nervous, and, mixed in there was also a hint of happiness.

She tried her best not to think too much about the deeper meaning of what he was saying, nodded and gave a brief, "Mmm.".

The elevator arrived and its door opened. Jiang MingYuan, however, had no intention of getting inside of it. His jaw tight and he took a deep breath, let it out, and said, "That, too, is what I am hoping for."

Cheng Huan, "..."

Her look went from dazed to shock. She almost thought she had misheard. Cheng Huan turned her head slowly. Faced by the man's decisive but not aggressive attitude, she turned away awkwardly. "That's not funny."

"I am not kidding." Jiang MingYuan looked away and clenched his fist without being noticed. Talking somewhat faster than he normally did, he said, "I know it is kind of abrupt but I do want you to be a part of my family.
