The gunshot echoed through the hallway, reverberating off the walls like a death toll. Blood trickled from the jagged edges of the shattered windowpane, weaving crimson streaks into the dusty mess of broken glass. The white walls bore grotesque splashes of red, like a twisted mural painted by chaos. Ragged, labored breathing filled the air, mingling with the weak cries of the wounded begging for death's cold embrace. Bodies, both dead and dying, lay heaped in grotesque piles, their flesh sinking into the swampy floor. What had once been a bustling space now stood transformed into a necropolis, where the stench of rot and despair hung heavy in the air.

If you thought an earthquake was terrifying, you clearly hadn't crossed paths with the Titans—or their new leader, Jeon Jungkook.

Following the supposed death of the former boss, Jeon Sri, Jungkook had ascended to power. The Titans, hunted by police, had vanished into the shadows, staying underground for five long years. The authorities, drunk on premature triumph, believed the threat had been extinguished. With the Titans gone, even the city's petty criminals indulged in newfound freedom, growing bold and reckless in the absence of a superior force to fear.

Though the Titans had ruled with terror, they also enforced a twisted sense of order. Their reign made criminals and civilians alike think twice before crossing boundaries. No one committed barbaric acts without their permission, and those who did often paid with their lives. Powerful enemies who gave the police sleepless nights were crushed beneath the heel of the Titans.

Some saw the Titans as a necessary evil; others loathed them. But one fact remained: their worldview—the survival of the strongest and the elimination of the weak—was a brutal, senseless ideology. They had no right to play god, nor to spill the blood of the innocent.

The five years of fragile peace ended abruptly when the Titans reemerged, more vicious and unstoppable than before. Jungkook had reshaped the gang with a vision far more ruthless than his predecessor's. However, it had not been an easy task to inherit the throne from his sister. The Titans' ranks had fallen into disarray, their loyalty fractured. It had taken him five relentless years to whip the unruly crew into submission.

During their absence, new gangs had risen to claim the void the Titans left behind. And with time, the Titans lost the fearsome reputation they once held. Their enemies—those once too afraid to even whisper their names—now openly defied them. Jungkook knew he had to work twice as hard to restore the gang's lost glory.

The final insult came when a faction that had once belonged to the Titans dared to break away and declare independence, capitalizing on S's disappearance. Jungkook's rage knew no bounds. He ordered his men to annihilate the traitors at any cost. The world had to remember that the Titans were not to be trifled with—and that former boss's absence wouldn't slag them. Failure wasn't an option. Every member knew that if they faltered, JK wouldn't hesitate to put a bullet between their eyes.

"Work's done, boss." The rough voice crackled through Jungkook's earpiece.

A slow smirk curled his lips. One more threat erased from the board. He slid his gun into its holster, pushed open the car door, and stepped out. His boots crunched on the gravel as he surveyed the surroundings—an abandoned house, tucked deep within a forest, hidden from the prying eyes of the city behind a wall of ancient trees.

"Well done. Wait for me."

His voice was commanding as he strode toward the house. The door groaned as he pushed it open, revealing the darkened interior. The stench of blood and rot was suffocating. His gaze swept the room, taking in the lifeless bodies strewn across the floor like discarded marionettes, their blood soaking into the wood.

Then came the sound—a faint, trembling breath from the shadows.

Jungkook cocked his head slightly, the corners of his mouth twitching with something cruel. He moved with the precision of a predator, his steps silent, calculated.

A single gunshot shattered the suffocating silence moments later.
