After Taehyung left, Sri quickly wrapped his shirt around one of the dead men lying on the floor. She positioned the body carefully on her back, making sure his face was hidden from view. She needed to fool the enemies into thinking it was Taehyung. With the imposter secured, she began her retreat, intending to lead them off course.

As she passed through the exit, a sinking feeling hit her when she couldn't spot her SUV. Her heart raced, and for a moment, her legs threatened to give way from exhaustion. But she wasn't done running yet. She turned back, tossing the body toward the oncoming enemies. They hesitated, confused for a split second, but then charged at the body. Sri seized the opportunity to take them down, her movements growing slower with each kill. Her stamina was running low, but she kept pushing forward. She had already reached her humane limits.

Suddenly, the roar of an engine pierced the air. Her heart leaped when her SUV emerged from the bushes. Despite having told Taehyung to drive away, seeing him behind the wheel sparked a rush of relief and excitement. It was as if the sight of him gave her the strength she needed. She dove into the car, and without a second thought, Taehyung sped away, the tires screeching as they tore down the road.

There were no Eclipse members left to chase them. The ride grew peaceful as they reached the outskirts of the city. The air felt cooler, the city lights fading behind them. Inside the car, Sri's breath came in labored pants, her body sticky with sweat. It wasn't nearly as bad as the state Taehyung was in—his injuries were more severe, and she knew he needed immediate care, as well as a few days of rest.

Sri tried to contactJungkook after the invasion but learned he was out of the country. On top of that, she discovered that Taehyung had gone missing. The Russians were experts in tracking people, and it had been easy for the Novans to pinpoint Taehyung's location. They had wanted to accompany her, but S had other plans. "Let me drive. I know a place we can go."

"Aren't we headed to the Titan mansion?" Taehyung's voice remained steady, though there was a hint of fatigue.

"No," she replied firmly. Without further explanation, they switched seats. Taehyung slumped into the passenger seat, his exhaustion catching up with him. His eyes fluttered, nearly closing from the overwhelming fatigue.

"Are you cold?" Sri asked, her eyes on the road as the car sped along the winding path.

Taehyung suddenly realized he was still shirtless. "It's fine," he muttered, his voice hoarse. Sri nodded and silently warmed up the car temperature, not pressing the issue. The ride was eerily quiet, neither of them wanting to stir the silence. They both knew that anything they said might lead to yet another argument.

Taehyung didn't even realize when he had drifted off to sleep until he was jolted awake by multiple taps on his thigh. Groggily, he opened his eyes, hissing in pain as his body protested the movement.
