Three days had passed, but the tension between Taehyung and Sri had not eased. They barely acknowledged each other, with Taehyung offering only a cold stare each morning before leaving for work. Sri, no matter how much it stung, maintained a facade of indifference, masking her emotions behind a steely gaze.

While Taehyung worked tirelessly, enlisting the help of both the police and some dark web contacts, determined to locate Taesoo before the Titans could pose any threat to Sri, she was off carving a different path. Sri immersed herself with the Titans, feeling an unexpected pride watching her younger brother lead with such strength and efficiency. The entire organization moved at his command, following his orders without question. She had also struck up a surprising friendship with Sherly, who had developed a quiet admiration—and maybe more—for Jungkook. Sri couldn't help but tease Sherly about it, amused by the younger woman's blushes, even though Sherly always maintained her respect for the formidable Jeon Sri.

Jungkook, meanwhile, was aware of the unspoken turmoil in his sister. Despite her composed exterior, he could sense the undercurrents of tension within her. "Noona, you should head home. Taehyung must be worried; you've been here all day," he said, taking a sip of his wine as he worked on his laptop.

Sri's eyes were distant, her fingers toying absentmindedly with a pen as she stood, suddenly snapping out of her thoughts. "I should." Without another word, she left, her heels clicking purposefully on the tiled floor.

Jungkook watched her until she disappeared from view. "Noona, you can't fool me," he murmured once she was gone. "I hope whatever misunderstanding you two have gets resolved soon."

His focus was interrupted by a soft knock, and a familiar voice from the other side of the door. "Boss?"

"Come in," he replied, looking up to see Sherly enter, her gaze fixed on his laptop as she awaited instructions.

He showed her the task he'd been working on, "Make sure this job is done flawlessly. You're excused from the other gang activities for now."

"Yes, boss," Sherly replied with a nod. She kept her posture stiff and professional, avoiding eye contact. As she turned to leave, Jungkook's voice stopped her.

"Sit down," he instructed.

She obeyed, sinking into the chair with visible discomfort. Jungkook noticed her rigid posture and smirked. "You know, you can relax a bit."

Sherly let out a nervous laugh, easing her shoulders just slightly. He continued, "I need an underboss for the gang, in case something happens to me. Who do you think it should be?"

She was momentarily surprised but quickly composed herself. "How about Oh Jinsuk?" she suggested, mentioning the man who oversaw the gang's drug operations.
