You and Newt were in his case, just resting before he was to go back on his journey. You had somehow convinced him to keep Frank in the case, given that you would specifically tend to the thunderbird yourself; he taught you the invisible extension charm for this task, and with perfection, you're going to get your own case to take care of the more unique creatures.
It's only been a few days since Grindelwald was arrested, but during that time, you and Newt had become partners and had discussed that you'd next go with Newt back to Britain. Newt told you he wanted to introduce you to his old professor at Hogwarts.
Newt sat next to you in your own little exhibit in his case, until he asked, "C-can I um.. Have a h-hug with your w-wings..? I-I've always wanted to t-try it since we met." it brung a gentle blush to your face, but you agreed, allowing him to move closer.
He watched as you spread out your wings and curled them slowly over the two of you, wrapping your arms around the Magizoologist as your two faces lit up in red hues at the closeness. "S-So.. Do you l-like my w-wings..?" you asked awkwardly, "Y-yes.. B-but I um.. I-I like.. I like you more.. Y/n.." Newt confessed to you..
Before you could say anything in reply, Newt leaned the last inch and kissed you. You felt yourself heat up like your cheeks as you tightened your wings and reciprocated the gesture.
Once you two finally separated though, he had only one thing to say to you..
"You're much more than just an A-Animal.."
