Hi everyone, I haven't been feeling well lately. Sorry for the late update--send well wishes my way if you can. Hope this chapter brightens your day even a little.

When we get to the Yellow Lantern, Rosalie and Joel are already there. Our waiter takes us to the booth. I slide in first opposite Rosalie, and then Caden follows suit.

"Hey guys," I greet them, grinning happily.

"Someone looks very pleased today," Joel comments, smiling at me.

I look over at Caden, beaming up at him. I can't stop smiling no matter how hard I try. My parents actually approve of Caden and I getting married. I still can't believe he got my dad to like him.

"I take it meeting the 'rents went well," Rosalie says.

Caden nods his head. He opens his mouth to speak, but I get to it before he can. "Caden charmed the pants off dad. I have no idea how he did it."

Rosalie looks over at my fiancé, impressed. "Really?"

I nod my head seriously. "Joel, you may have some competition for who my dad likes best now."

Joel laughs. "And here Rosalie and I were so sure he'd have a fit."

"Oh, he did," I tell them. "Dad stormed off and refused to eat dinner with us. It was only after Caden talked to him privately that he changed his mind. We ended up eating dinner at ten o clock just because dad refused to eat with Caden."

Rosalie's jaw drops. "Caden, I have to know. What did you tell dad?"

Caden smirks, shaking his head. "I'm keeping that private between me and him."

"It's true—he won't even tell me," I complain.

Caden rolls his eyes at me. "Look at the menu now otherwise we'll be here forever. You take forever to order."

I stick my tongue out at him. "Shut up Caden."

Rosalie laughs, picking up her menu. "I see you two have gotten comfortable with each other."

"Oh we've been very comfortable with each other," Caden tells her. He glances at the menu briefly and decides what he wants. I, on the other hand, flip through all the options with no clue about what I should order.

"Help me," I tell Caden. "I don't know what I want to get."

His hand runs up and down my thigh reassuringly. "Do you want rice?"

I shake my head.

"Then let's do noodles and chicken. I'm ordering rice anyway, so you can have some of mine if you change your mind."

"Okay," I reply, flipping through all the chicken dishes. "What about the chili chicken?"

"You're not going to like that," he tells me.

"Then the orange chicken."

"That's fine," he responds.

Joel cuts into our conversation looking amused. "Is this how dinner normally goes with you two?"

I blush. "I trust Caden's palate. And he knows what I like anyway, so it just makes sense."

The waiter comes to take our orders, and she drops off our drinks as well. Caden and I each have Dr. Pepper while Rosalie and Joel have gone for Pepsi and Sprite.

"Dr. Pepper? It's like I don't even know who you are anymore!" Rosalie comments.

Caden smirks. "Thank you! Maybe she'll finally admit that I'm the one who got her to like the drink in the first place."
