ANNOUNCEMENT
Firstly, thank you for making it so far! I have a spin off between Emma and Nick in the works. I think I'm going to start uploading that next--would y'all read that? It's way shorter. Please let me know in the comments!

I'm so happy to be able to share this story with you, and I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read, vote, comment, and share what I've written. Basically, this "chapter" is just a bunch of fun facts about the story that I decided to keep track of while writing. They're not anything exciting or earth-shattering, but I think they might be pretty interesting to read in a couple of months or even years, so I decided to post them. (Also, I'm sorry if you thought this was a bonus chapter!)

If you could drop some comments on your overall thoughts, that would be amazing!! Also, FYI this was the first steamy book I wrote, so I didn't understand how to portion my plot and steamy scenes out lol. Some chapters are hella long (as you know) and others are not. Nowadays, my writing is more plot-based with a good amount of steam. Please check out wifey talk, which is so much better imo lollllll. (This story was a lot of steam with less plot.)

FUN FACTS
Let's get on with the fun facts :)

1.) I did not have a title for this story until chapter 11

2.) I did not have any clue what I was writing about when I first started this story. In fact, I was inspired to write the beginning chapters of this novel when I saw a picture of a dusty pink dress online. It's the same one I had Meredith wearing when she was a bridesmaid for Rosalie's wedding. (When I saw it online, I immediately thought of a bridesmaid and just rolled with it). It's crazy to think that if I hadn't seen the photo, this novel probably wouldn't exist!

3.) I was 19 years old when I first started writing this book. I am almost 25 now, and my writing has changed so much.

4.) Meredith and Axel's names both came to me naturally. Usually, it takes a long time for me to pick a character's name. I spend a while googling and searching up the meaning of names--especially when it comes to male characters--but Axel and Meredith just popped into my head.

5.) Before this novel, I had never written anything super explicit or R-rated. This was definitely the first book where I took the plunge.

6.) Axel is the first male lead I've written about that has black hair. Unlike my other characters, he doesn't have a six pack either ;)

7.) I really struggled with trying to decide what the conflict in this story would be. Would it be Meredith's insecurities about herself? Were they even big enough to write a story about? What was realistic enough for me to create a conflict around? I hadn't even introduced a major problem by chapter 11.

8.) I went back and forth between deciding whether Axel would be extremely pale or tan. Not that it really matters in this story, but I was having a hard time visualizing him.

9.) Axel almost had a tattoo on his back when he first met Meredith.

10.) Sam and Axel were almost roomates when I first wrote the novel.

11.) The painting class Mer and Axel went to on their first date (remember the bowl of fruit?) actually started out as a mountain painting class. I then realized I hated that idea, scrapped it, and came up with the bowl-of-fruit storyline to add humor into the story.

12.) Listening to Hozier's Take Me to Church helped put me in the mindset to write the way Axel reacted to Mer, especially during steamier scenes. I'm not really sure why, but it really seemed to help.

13.) I actually dictated a lot of the first few chapters on my phone (as opposed to typing them out on my laptop). I'd never done that with any of my works on Wattpad before.

14.) I stayed up until 4 in the morning writing chapter 2. After I finished, I watched the movie Me Before You until about 6AM and cried of sadness lol.

15.)song for when she thinks he cheated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbYRNBt4pBs

15) I considered a plot line where Mer later found out that she'd been dating the other brother at the beginning of the book(instead of Axel), and he'd been assuming Axel's identity. This idea struck me in Chp 8 when Mer was "waiting for the other shoe to drop".

16) Chapter 13 gave me MAJOR writer's block. I was constantly thinking about where to take the story after that chapter, and it took me four months to complete writing it—the chapter itself isn't anything special, but it was DEFINITELY a pain to write.

17.) I used the exact pizza recipe as Mer in Chapter 13 and made a real-life pizza from scratch the same day I completed that chapter. It was a pure coincidence.

18.) I made this story's book cover.

19.) I accidentally tense switched in chapter 16 of the story. I meant to write completely in past tense, but I actually shifted to present for the end half of the book.

17) In the chapter about Caden's birthday, Mer's last line asks if Caden owns any handcuffs. There was originally another sex scene here where they ate frosting off one another, but it was taken out after I decided they'd had enough sex for the day lol. This book has waaaaaaaay too many steamy scenes in it imo and works I've written recently are more plot-based.
