Josie was now in her room back at the Salvatore School. She was sitting on her bed, across from Lizzie whose mouth was still agape at the information she had just been told.

"You're kidding," Lizzie was in shock.

"Nope," Josie shook her head. "Hope's really Klaus Mikaelson's daughter. Her family are The Originals."

"Huh, that explains a lot," Lizzie took it all in.

"What are you talking about?"

"Now it all makes sense why Hope went full psycho-mode on Penelope, she's a Mikaelson. We both took History of the Supernatural World, it's in her blood."

"Lizzie!" Josie scolded her twin. "She's not some monster. She was just trying to protect me."

"No, protecting you would've been telling Penelope to screw off and then threatening to set her on fire. Why do you keep defending her?  Wait, I know why," a smirk crept across Lizzie's face. "You're in love with her."

"No, I'm not," Josie's face grew red despite her denial. "I just, I don't want people to think she's a bad person based on some things her family did."

Josie thought back to her conversation with Hope, and how ashamed she looked over some of her family's actions. It hurt Josie's heart that Hope couldn't look her in the eyes as she revealed a part of her identity.

"Don't worry, Jo, your secret is safe with me.  Besides, Hope is totally in love with you too," she stated nonchalantly.

"What are you going on about now?" Josie was exasperated with her sister now.

"I can almost see how much her blood boils whenever Penelope talks to you. Penelope is your ex, yet she's always grabbing you after class, showing up at our dorm, whispering things only you can hear to get a reaction out of you," she explained. "Hope is an alpha,  she's possessive."

"You're delusional," Josie rolled her eyes.

"Josie, be nice to your sister," their father walked in.

Josie groaned at him annoyed before tilting her head in curiosity.

"Dad?" she questioned. "Did you know Hope was a Mikaelson?"

"Of course I did," he confirmed. "I'm the one who convinced her parents to send her here."

"And you didn't care to share that before Josie became besties with Hope? We thought you hated her dad."

"Yeah, we've seen what you wrote about him. Klaus Mikaelson: The Great Evil."

"As much as her father and I have had our differences, I made a promise to her mother that she would be treated like every other student," their father told them calmly. "It was never my place to share Hope's personal information."

"Ugh! Next we're going to find out mom knew this whole time too," Lizzie let out annoyed.

Alaric paused for a moment.

"About that..."
