When Hope had tried to slip out early the next morning for her run, Josie had stopped her. And after unsuccessfully trying to convince Hope to stay, Josie decided to join her.

"I don't know, how, you do this, like, every day," Josie huffed. "This was, a huge, mistake."

"What? You're not having fun?" Hope asked, her breathing steady.

"I'm like dying, I need a break," Josie stopped and put her hands to her knees, hunched over trying to catch her breath.

"Here, drink some of this," Hope handed her a water bottle.

After Josie took a long gulp, she turned to Hope who was sweating but was not nearly as out of breath.

"I guess you just need to run with me more often."

"No," Josie's eyes went wide. "Never again."

"You mean, you'd never want to spend time alone with me, in the woods, in the early morning where no one would bother us?"  Hope's voice was low and her eyes had a glint of mischief in them.

"Now, what on earth could we possibly do in a situation like that?" Josie acted cluelessly.

"We could get a workout in, get hot and sweaty together."

The word choice and mere tone of her voice had Josie's heart fluttering, and Hope knew it. An amused smirk then appeared on Hope's face.

"You're such a fucking tease, Hope," Josie lightly pushed Hope's shoulder.

"Oh, I'm the tease?" Hope pushed her back.

But Hope might've pushed a little too hard because Josie fell backwards onto the grass.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," Hope panicked and tried to help the girl up. "Are you okay?"

Josie took this opportunity to yank Hope's extended hand and bring her to the ground too.

"Yeah, I'm fine. How about you?" Josie grinned.

"I'm great, because I'm here with you," Hope used her hand to cup Josie's  face.

She thumbed her jaw lightly, admiring the softness of her skin. Then she leaned in, connecting their lips.

Hope's hands settled around the back of Josie's neck, playing lightly with her hair.

Josie's hands traveled to the small of Hope's back, gently pushing up the fabric of her shirt.

Hope planted one last passionate kiss on Josie's lips before pulling away. She then quickly got to her feet.

"Come and catch me," Hope took off running.

"Ugh," Josie let out an exasperated breath and got ready to chase after her. "Yeah, Hope, you are a tease."
