Chapter 18 : Godmother

hey guys, I'm really sorry this is a few days late and this is the best I can give you. I'm just not really into this book right now but I swear, I'll try harder. I've just never really written a sequel to a book so sorry if it is kind of boring in parts

"Remus!" I shouted as I entered the small house. Remus sent me a message telling me to get back home immediately.

I entered the living room to see Molly Weasley, Tonks and Remus gathered around the couch, Remus and Molly around Tonks. Tonks was screaming and Remus gave me a worried look.

"She's in labour," he told me, giving me a panicked look. I looked at Tonks in surprise. I sat down behind Remus and looked at her as Molly told her to breath slowly. I held Remus' back as I seen how nervous he was. He had one of his hands on his face and the second was squeezing Tonks'.

"Okay, okay the baby's ready to come out now, Tonks, darling," Molly said. Tonks started screaming a high pitched scream and I could see Remus' hand turn purple as she squeezed it even harder. It had gotten to the stage that I was telling Remus to breath in and out as he began to grow even more nervous.

I held my hands over my face as we all waited, Molly grabbing a towel and gently wrapping it around the baby, carefully wiping away the blood from their head.

"It's a boy," Molly said, grinning down at the new born child. Remus finally let go of Tonks' hand and covered his mouth with his hand, looking like he was about to cry from joy.

"It's a boy," he repeated as Molly nodded. He turned to Tonks who also seemed to be delighted at the gender of the baby. "It's a boy!"

I felt Molly rest her arm on my shoulder after she gave Tonks her new baby boy. She gave me a look but I raised an eyebrow.

"We should give the three of them some time alone," she whispered to me and I quickly nodded, the both of us heading to the kitchen to make some tea. As we were moving to the kitchen, the front door opened and Ariel walked through, taking off her coat and scarf, giving us a questioning look.

"What happened? Why did I get a message from Remus?" She asked us. I shared a smile with Molly as we looked back to the room, remembering the look of absolute delight on Tonks' and Remus' faces.

"Tonks had her baby. It's a boy," I told her. Ariel threw her hand over her mouth and in shock. I smiled and nodded as she looked to the room I had been looking at a few minutes ago. "We're going to give them a little time alone with him but if you want you can drop some coffee into them, I'm sure Tonks will appreciate finally getting some caffeine."

"Yeah, sure," she said as she hung up the coat and scarf, following us into the kitchen as Molly put on the kettle. "Do they know what they're going to name him?"

"Not yet, but I'm hoping they decide it quick because I'm dying to know if his middle name is Sirius," I said with a smirk as Ariel laughed at me. It was nice to see her smile, she never smiled lately. But ever since I had escaped Malfoy Manor, she had been so much happier, so much more full of life. It was finally like everything was back to normal even though it was nowhere near it.

"I'm so happy for the both of them, they deserve this so much, they really do. They're just absolutely perfect together, I think it's great, no matter the age difference," she said, smiling as she looked down. I nodded my head. It was weird to think that she was the same age as me yet Tonks was over ten years younger than Remus.

"Yeah, they're just so happy, especially now with the baby. You should have seen their faces, they were both crying their eyes out. You have to remind me to tease Remus about that later, I'll let him away with it, for now, though," I said, smirking as I thought about how much I was going to tease Remus about this later. Ariel just laughed again as she hit my arm, giving me a warning look.
