Our Destiny (Lily Potter and Scorpius Malfoy)
Prologue
Darkness was growing inside her. She was letting it in her heart, feeling it, tasting it. She felt it everywhere around her, inside her, she loved the feeling.
"Cleo, come here my essssscort. Lisssssten. I need you to do ssssssomething for me." She was hissing in the language of snakes, explaining her plan to the pet. The snake moved its head to the left and to the right while listening. The extent of its body was as big as the extent of a young new-grown tree. At the end, the snake nodded and left through the opened window.
She glanced at her reflection in the mirror, while walking through the devastated cottage her grandmother lived in. Her black hair was floating behind her narrow face with full lips and almost black eyes with long dark eyelashes. She got the looks from both of her parents.
Little Hangleton has changed a lot, since she left to be raised by one of the Death Eaters. Rabastan Lestrange. Bellatrix convinced him, that the girl she gave birth to a year after Voldemort has returned was his brother's daughter, but only Bellatrix and her knew the truth. She knew who her true father was. A man everyone feared. Some wizards didn't dare to speak his name even after he truly died. The Death Eaters were very hopeful, they thought he would return, but she knew he wouldn't. That's why she was here. To replace him.
She approached an old dilapidated window. She could see the whole village from there, including the small new brand shops with expensive goods. There were also small family houses for people who lived there, little motels and all sorts of crafts. But one thing was unchanged. A mansion on the other side of the village. The Riddle Mansion. Her lips curved in sorrow and she grabbed her wand, apparating to the mansion's garden. It was even more abandoned then her grandgrandfather's house. Since that old muggle keeper was killed, no one has dared to step on that plot. Except for her. Lord Voldemort's daughter. No one knew her. They didn't know she even existed, only Rabastan knew that, thinking she's his niece.
She stepped in through the back door, looking around her surroundings. Everything had an old, acidulous smell. The furniture was gnawed by worms and moths, but that didn't affect her. It wasn't like she was some posh noblewoman. She was after all the last heir of Salazar Slytherin, in her opinion the greatest wizard of all time next to her father. But without him, her father wouldn't be born. She was also extremely grateful to the Riddles. Without her grandfather Mark, she wouldn't exist either. But she had a very important job to do here. She had to do it before midnight, so she still had a couple of hours to look around. Although she didn't like wasting time, just like her father. She inheritted most of her characteristic properties by him. She was a parsel-mouth, she didn't know mercy, she thought love was a weakness. But there was one difference between them. Unlike him, she was grateful for knowing who her parents were and she was more than proud of them. She didn't love them, no, she also didn't wish they were alive, because that would mean she couldn't rule the world all by herself.
Suddenly she felt pain in her left forearm. She pulled up the sleeve and smiled at the Dark Mark. It was pitch black, which meant it was ready. 24 years passed since it has been used for the last time. She wondered how many of them would respond.
Heading to the Little Hangleton's graveyard, she was holding her left arm in a strong grip. When she was staring at her grandfather's grave, she actually felt sorry for him and his parents. This was the only Voldemort's action she didn't approve. With one flick of her wand, she cleaned the grave's surrounding. With a shade of smile still playing on her lips she pressed her thumb to the skull and the snake came alive. It was twisting on her forearm, causing her a lot of pain, but she didn't move an inch nor let out any sound. Suddenly they were apparating from all different ends of the country. They were surrounding her in a circle. She smirked evilly.
"Who are you?"
"What is this?"
"Is this a joke?"
"It's not funny, if it is!"
"Of course it's not funny!" They were arguing between each other now. She silenced them with a loud bang from her wand.
"Enough!" she yelled with a powerful voice. "You are acting ridicolous, I truly pitty you all. 27 years ago you were all standing at the very same places as you are today. The only difference is I wasn't there."
"Who do you think you are to tell us this story?!" yelled one of the Death Eaters and darted towards her. With a wave of her wand, she stopped him with an invisible hand, that was holding him in the air by his neck. He started to choke, his face was already turning red, then purple and a few moments later, his legs stopped kicking, he stopped fighting. She let him land on the ground with a loud thump. After a few minutes of silence, she finally answered the dead man's question.
"I am Voldemort's daughter."
