His chest heaved, his hands still trembling slightly with the remnants of the volcanic rage he had unleashed on Nandini. He closed his eyes, tilting his head back to inhale the fresh air, trying to anchor his erratic breathing. Before he could spiral further into his dark thoughts, a pair of soft, familiar arms wrapped tightly around his waist from behind. Prerna pressed her face against his broad back, inhaling his soothing scent.

"Anu... look at me. Please calm down,"Prerna whispered, her voice a gentle balm to his frayed nerves. Anurag instantly turned around in her embrace, pulling her into his chest and burying his face in her hair. They stood like that for several minutes, drawing strength from each other's presence. Slowly, the rigid tension in Anurag's shoulders melted away.

He guided her gently toward the green grass, sitting down first and pulling her between his legs into a protective back-hug. Prerna leaned her back entirely against his solid chest, relaxing as his powerful arms wrapped securely around her waist. He rested his chin on her shoulder, his lips brushing the sensitive skin of her neck as he spoke.
"How are you feeling now, Jaan?" Anurag asked, his voice a low, raspy whisper."Tell me the truth. My heart stopped when Hina told me you locked yourself away."
Prerna covered his hands with her own, intertwining their fingers."The moment I heard your voice singing outside that door, all the pain vanished, Anu. But tell me about home. How are Mom and Dad? Did they see what happened?"
Anurag kissed her temple softly, his breath warm against her skin."They saw everything on the live feed, baby. Dad was absolutely furious. He told me to come in here and protect his favorite daughter-in-law. Mom packed my bags herself. The whole Basu Mansion has been lonely without their queen."
Prerna blushed, a radiant smile gracing her lips."I missed them so much. And I missed this... just being in your arms without a care in the world."
