- time skip to after Eddie finishes getting ready (ha that rhymes) -

I take a look at myself in the mirror above the bathroom sink, messing with my hair, frustration causing my movements to be sharp and rough. I never really cared about how my hair looks before, but for some reason it was really bugging me today. Was it too frizzy? Too unkept? I liked the messy look usually but today the curls just annoy me. I groan angrily and force myself to walk away from the mirror.

"Jesus H Christ." I mumble to myself. I need to calm down.

I take a look at my watch and realize I should get going. It was about 1:45 pm now and I still had to stop by the store to pick up some snacks and beer to bring to Harringtons later. I walk out of the trailer, locking the door behind me. As I get into and start my van, I turn up the volume of my music so I can't hear my thoughts over the metal music playing through the speakers. After a few minutes of driving I pull up to Family Video. I park in front of the store and jump out of my van, locking it behind me. I pull open the doors and smile widely. I see Steve up front interacting with a girl that looks to be about our age. She's leaning against the front counter, smiling widely at Steve, twirling her blonde hair and batting her eyelashes. Steve on the other hand, does not seem to appreciate her attempts at flirting, as every time she tries to lean closer, be backs away a bit. I chuckle at the sight and move to walk around the store to search for Robin, although my presence doesn't go unrecognized by Steve.

"Hey Munson, you need anything?" He gives me a pleading look, as if he would do anything to get away from the girl that's chatting him up.

"I'm not here to see you Stevie. Do you know where Buckley is?" I ignore his request for me to step in and he sends me a look so harsh I'm afraid I'll drop dead on the spot.

"She's in the back taking her break, why?" He looks at me questioninly.

"You don't have to know everything Harrington. And obviously this lovely lady is still in need of your services, so I'll leave you to it." I glance over to the girl standing uncomfortably close to Steve and hold back a laugh when I realize she hasn't removed her gaze from Steve for our entire interaction. I give Steve a wink and walk towards the door marked "Staff Only" ignoring Steves attempt at getting me to stay out front.

As soon as I walk through the door, I spot Robin. She's sitting on the couch, chatting on the phone sitting on a small table to the right of the couch. She looks up and smiles at me, raising a finger signalling me to wait so she could wrap up her conversation.

Hey Vickie, Eddie just showed up and I think he wants to talk. I'll call you back later okay? Okay. I love you too. Bye bye."

My eyes widen at her words, but I keep quiet until she hangs up the phone, then I rattle off all of the questions brewing in my mind. "Oh my God- you said you love her! Dude, when did you start saying that to each other? How dare you not tell me-"

Robin cuts me off with a laugh, "Calm down, it's a fairly new development. And I would have told you sooner but you've been spending all your time with Steve." Her eyes get a bit squinty and I can practically hear the gears turning in her head.

"Uh, yeah. About that." I start. Robin looks at me with her eyebrows raised and places her hands in her lap after waving at me to keep talking. I take a deep breath. Here goes nothing. "So you know how Steve and I have been hanging around a lot together right? I may have accidentally developed a small crush on him," Robins hand shot up to her mouth, a slightly muffled gasp escaping through her fingers. "Okay, maybe not small. It may be a rather large crush." I cringe at my words. Discussing feelings has never been a strong suit of mine. "And I don't know what to do because I think Steve might like me back? But I can't tell sometimes because he goes from being flirty to being totally closed off and-"
