Night Drive

After playing and talking for hours, you all were soon done with the day.

"I think I'm gonna go to bed."

"Okay mom. I love-"

"Hey, you wouldn't mind if we go out for a little drive?"

"Eddie, really?"

Your mom looked at Eddie.

"That's fine. Just don't be out too late."

'How the hell?'

"Thank you."

"Anytime. Anyway, I love you too sweetie."

Eddie smiled and grabbed your shoes for you.

"Here ya go."

"Thanks."

You quickly put your shoes on and both of you were out the door. He opened his car door for you and you guys were on your way. He started driving down the road that led to your school. He continued down blasting music from the radio. You guys were having a fun time. He then pulled into this empty parking lot. He turned the car off and you guys chilled out.

"Why did you stop?"

"Uh, well, because now I can talk to you."

"What?"

"Okay. So the thing is.."

He was becoming hesitant to even say anything. The only reason he took you out was to confess his feelings for you. But now that it was finally his time to do so, he was becoming hesitant.

"The thing is what?"

"Okay. It's obvious enough but maybe not. The thing is, when you came to school that day, you instantly caught my eye. Then, the whole Jason thing happened. That's when I decided to make myself present. Of course, Jason's just a dick in general so I was going to do something anyway, but you get what I mean right?"

"Yeah, I'm following."

"Okay. So then after that, seeing how..sweet and cute you were I just couldn't help but love you. But, who wouldn't?"

"Jason."

"Well, yeah. But I mean, you're everything good. I love you okay! I really love you! It's difficult for me to explain it in words because everything that I like about you could be written like a book. But I love you Y/N."

You were somewhat shocked. How could Eddie 'the freak' Munson like you. Even after the way you've been treated and the things happening around you. But then again, he was there for you all of this time. You smiled at him as he was sitting in silence looking like he regretted ever saying anything.

"I love you too Eddie."

"Wait, what?"

His thought was taken away when you threw yourself on him connecting your lips to his. He then kissed you back. He eventually grabbed you putting you in his lap. You guys made out for about 5 minutes before pulling away.

"Well, I didn't know you were such a good kisser."

"Never thought you would be too."

He smiled at you before pecking you on the cheek. You climbed back in your seat. That's when he started up the car again heading back to your house. You guys jammed to music on the way there. You finally made it back. By then, it was midnight. You both quietly went back into the house to not wake up your mom. Though, to your surprise, she was still awake.

"How was it?"

You looked at Eddie and giggled.

"It went good."

You couldn't help but keep smiling which made your mom suspicious.

"You didn't do anything right?"

"What? No! But I do have some news."

"Is it something good?"

"Duh!"

"Okay."

"So.."

"Me and Y/N are dating now."

"Eddie!"

"Sorry love."

He smiled at you and you smiled back. Your mom was probably the happiest about it.

"Oh my god! Congratulations honey!"

She then hugged you both.

"I knew you guys would get together."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Well, Eddie kinda told me himself that he wanted to ask you out."

You looked at Eddie.

"What? She had to know. I also wanted to ask her first."

You just shook your head and smiled. You then went in to kiss him again. You were up on your tiptoes this time, Eddie bending down a little for you to reach better. Your mom still had the polaroid out so she snapped a photo.

"Mom!"

"Sorry. Can I take a few though?"

"Yes. That would be lovely."

"Really Eddie?"

"Sorry not sorry sweetheart."

You guys then did a few poses for your mom. She just loved the fact that you finally found someone. After the photo shoot, you all headed upstairs. Your mom went to her room while you and Eddie went to yours. You both then crashed on your bed.

"That was a fun night."

"Sure was. I'm glad you enjoyed it."

"Of course. It was amazing."

Eddie smiled at you, you smiling back.

"I love you."

"I love you too Mrs. Munson."

That caused you to blush a little. Eddie laughed at your reaction.

"Didn't expect it?"

"Nope."

"Get used to it. It's gonna happen a lot."

"Oh great."

After that, you climbed on Eddie laying on his chest. He grabbed your blanket pulling it up over both of you. Eddie could see you were getting sleepy so he played with your hair and rubbed your back to help you fall asleep faster.

"Goodnight sweetheart."

"Goodnight."

He then kissed you on the forehead before both of you fell asleep.
