Inside a peaceful yet mysterious home, a small family resides inside. A mother, A father, and a daughter.

They're all on their daughter's bed, accompanying her to sleep. Since the lonely daughter often has dreams of a scary and big monster with nine tails. Although, the monster only appears as a silhouette in her dreams.

The curious little girl sat on her mother's warm thicc lap and cuddles with her, wanting warmth.

The girl's mother is reading a short story book for her daughter so she won't have the scary dream again.

The mother's long silver locks fall down to her daughter's shoulders but the girl didn't mind, in fact, she loves the long silver hair of her beautiful mother.

"...And so they became best of friends, they were like glue, never leaving each other's side. They protected their people together from the bad guys and brought happiness to their people. Their people worshipped them endlessly and offered them delicious food, the-"

"What food did they give them, Mama?"

The child asks her mother, the mother places her finger on her chin and hums in thought.

"Hmm...Maybe fruits and vegetables because those are the only food they had in the past"

The young girl stuck her tongue out and shuddered in disgust.

"Bleugh! Veggies? Don't they have pancakes and fries? And nuggies and chocolate??"

The mother laughed gently at her daughter's response, then she gathered herself and answered her kid.

"They didn't have those in the past, sugarplum"

The child frowned in sadness.

"Aww, they must have been sad, Mama"

"Hm? Why do you think so?"

"Because they didn't have pancakes, chocolates and ice cream!"

The mother laughed again at her daughter's innocence.

"Yes, they must've been, sugar plum. Now, can we go to sleep now?"

"NO! You haven't finished the story yet, Mama"

"Alright"

The mother continued reading the storybook. No other kids have read the story other than the people that belong to a certain family bloodline.

The mother continued to read the story until she made it to the ending.

"...they had to go in their separate ways. The Wolf wants them to stay together because he said he'll feel lonely without her. But the Kyuubi knew that there are whole other places in the world that needs protecting..."

"But they are best friends! Why would the Kyuubi leave her friend? I would be lonely if my best friend leaves me..."

The mother stroked her daughter's head and comforts her.

"Anyone would be sad, sugarplum. But if Kyuubi won't protect the people of the other side of the world, how will they be able to make the world like rainbows? You like rainbows don't you?"

"Mmm..."

Her daughter hummed in agreement. Noticing her daughter's silence, her mother continued to read.

"And so, The Kyuubi and The Wolf went in their separate ways to spread hope and protect those who are in need of protection. They both brought light and became the symbol of purity throughout the world. The end"

The mother shuts the book close and turns to her daughter.

"Let's go to be now"

"Okay, Mama"

Her mother pulled their blanket closer to their shoulders and finally lays down on the bed with her daughter facing her. The mother tucked a strand of her daughter's hair behind her ear.

"Mama..."

"Hm?"

"The monster in my dream...looks like the Kyuubi"

The young girl mumbled sadly while her mother stares at her in a bit of shock. The story completely tells that the Kyuubi is a good person and a protector and yet, her daughter thinks the monster in her dreams is the said majestic protector.

"Sugarplum, the Kyuubi could never bring bad dreams to children like you"

"But...she has nine tails...it's the same with the monster"

"Hmmm...I think it's not the Kyuubi, dear. It must be a..."

The mother trailed off, thinking of any other creature that is similar to the monster her daughter described. Then she finally thought of one,

"An Octopus!"

"Octo...?"

"-pus. Octopus. Octopuses also have a lot of tails, so the monster might be an octopus!"

"Huh?? That's even scarier, Mama!"

The scared girl was almost in tears but her mother was quick enough to not let her actually cry.

"Then dream about Kyuubi, sugar plum. If you have that bad dream again, just dream that Kyuubi is in that bad dream and fights off the evil octopus. Then if she has defeated the octopus, your dream is going to be about cotton candy clouds, unicorns, and rainbows again!"

"You're right, Mama! I want to be just like the Kyuubi so I can make the world dream about rainbows too! Eh? M-mama?..."

The girl watched her mother make weird hand movements.

"What-"

"You're the Kyuubi and I'm the octopus! I will fight you! MUWAHAHAHAHAHA"

Her daughter squealed and wriggled around like a worm as her mother tickled her everywhere with her slender fingers. Their laughs and giggles filled the once quiet room.

The daughter kept moving until she accidentally hit her sleeping father's head.

"Ouch!"

"Ow!"

They both exclaimed in sync.

"Are you two okay?"

The mother asked them in worry. Her husband raised his head from the pillow, his dark purple locks pointing out in different directions and he had a sleepy face.

"Wha...Why are you guys still awake? Isn't it late?"

The daughter's father spoke in his deep and groggy voice due to being woken up suddenly.

"Papa, you fell asleep right after Mama started reading"

His daughter frowned at her and he apologized.

"I'm sorry darling. Daddy is really tired from work"

"But you just draw Papa. Drawing is easy and fun!"

'You wouldn't understand how it feels like to work in M@pp@'

His father thought.

"Alright, we'll be going to sleep now and that's final"

The mother demanded and the other two nodded in agreement. They all tucked themselves under the covers, the father falling asleep just seconds after.

The daughter started to feel really sleepy and so begins to close her eyes. Her mother watched her sleeping daughter's peaceful face, happy that she has a caring daughter, and also worried about what might happen to her in the future because of their bloodline.

She caressed her daughter's chubby cheek and mumbled,

"(Y/N), whatever happens...don't let emotions get the best of you and stay as a symbol of light and purity..."

Those were her last words before she also went to sleep.
