2nd Person POV
You fidget with your fingers because the silence is killing you. The silence has been going on for too long that you feel like you have to strike up a conversation with the serious man with you. Alan however doesn't seem to be bothered at all, he's just wearing the same, small smile and somehow...it creeped you out.
"The silence is a bit too loud, don't you think (L/N)-chan?"
You flinched at how suddenly Alan spoke with that voice of his after such a long silence between the two of you. He glanced in your direction for a moment before composing himself and properly facing me.
"How about we get to know each other since we have a long trip ahead of us, hm?"
He closed his eyes and smiled, you smiled nervously in return.
'Good thing he noticed'
Not so long after, you and Alan conversed with each other continuously. He's always the one coming up with questions and topics to talk about, it's like he exactly knows how to keep a conversation going. Unlike you, you stop talking to a person for a while and awkwardly thought of a different topic to talk about which usually ends up not being said.
So you're a bit glad that you're stuck with a person like Alan on this long trip.
Of course, you left out confidential information about yourself during your conversation with him. But there were times when his questions could really reveal your identity as a beastman, so you carefully thought of your answers. And you also get the feeling that he's doing this on purpose.
Alan hums,
"Now we know each other a bit more, (L/N)-chan"
"You're right. You really know how to keep the conversation going, Mr. Sylvasta"
You laughed a bit before looking at him.
"Why of course, I am a businessman after all. I carry conversations most of the time with my job"
Alan returns to his former position, his cheek leaning against his propped-up hand as he stares out of the window. A smile still plastered on his face.
'I think I should also bring up a topic, I'd feel bad if he's the only one starting a conversation most of the time'
"Uhm, Mr. Sylvasta?"
He looked at you with half-lidded eyes and a raised brow, urging you to speak up.
"I find it admirable that you can handle such responsibility. I mean, we're just around the same age but I can't even order at a fast food by myself unless there's someone with me. It doesn't have to be them that'll order, I just need a person to be beside me when I order. It's quite embarrassing to be like this"
You laugh nervously and Alan only looked at you blankly. If he hadn't smiled a bit a second later, you would have thought that he doesn't give a fuck at what you just said.
