"How long does she need to be in there?" Sam asked worryingly "just 12 hours Sam don't worry she's perfectly fine white wolf why don't you take him show him around Wakanda he hasn't been here since the fight." T'challa says to Bucky "I am not leaving her." Sam sits on a chair outside my freezer refusing to leave my side. Bucky walks into the room "Sam go get food I will sit with her so she's not alone." He shook his head "Bucky I can't I don't want to be away from her," he had tears in his eyes "You really like her don't you?" He raised his eyebrow at him "Bucky I don't just like her, I love her." He looks down Bucky looks surprised "you barely know her Sam." He looks at Sam who is thinking of what to say "Bucky I loved her since the first time I seen her there's just something about her please I'm asking for your blessing, can I ask her out on a date, I don't want to feel I use her for sex." Bucky looked grossed out "I don't want to know what you do with my sister Sam, but she's smiling more with you and happy damn she even feels safe to fall asleep on your lap, so you have my blessing if that's what you want, but hurt her and as I told you before hurt her I will kill you." He warned Sam, "of course Bucky I wouldn't dream of hurting her intentionally." Bucky holds out his hand for Sam to shake it.

"Hey bird, wolf foods ready come on." Shuri says to them "Sam you need to eat I will sit with her while you go and eat." He smiled at Sam hesitant before Sam stood up just leaving me and Bucky.

I can't believe you are still alive hell if Steve could see you now he would be pissed, he always liked you, I wouldn't think anyone is good enough not even golden boy Steve even back in war but I got to admit Sam's pretty close, I guess you where kidnapped not long after Steve got the serum and well... I know your memory is coming back but I need you to remember you didn't kill Howard sparrow did you where forced to." Tears falling from his eyes "What are you going to do about Zero (Zemo)? I don't want you to marry him he's caused so much heart break and set me up, he didn't tell you what he did, I'm not happy you are sleeping Sam, Bubbles but he promised me he was going to take you out on a proper date and treat you like the princess you are. I have never seen him like this with any girl definitely have the Barnes charm." He pulls a picture out of his wallet. "I kept this one I know you hated it but I needed one incase I lost the other one, it was when I first got into the army you where so proud but scared. I fought to protect a country but couldn't protect you." Tears dropped onto the picture.

"Bucky go get some sleep I advise Sam now I am advising you she will be safe there's guards on the door plus Zemo can't enter here." Bucky nodded and began to leave "wake us up when it's time she shouldn't be alone." Shuri nodded and Bucky went on his way. The next morning Bucky woke up and realised he slept for 9 hours "shit, SHURI" he ran into the lab "you said you would wake us!" He was angry, "Bucky I haven't let her out yet, you and Sam needed sleep so I left her a little longer but seeing you are both up let's begin," she put on the warmer and the pod starts to defrost. "She should be awake in about an hour I need to go get the book and things ready." Bucky and Sam just nodded and sat either side of my pod, around 30 minutes later "Hey can I get out of this." Both of them jump as I laughed due to scaring them "pequeña ave?" I smile "Yes Sam please let me out," Bucky rushed to open the door "how are you feeling?" "A lot of information to take in but I'm ok." I say kissing him on the cheek "Even after finding out you killed Howard I just took the blame since it looked like me." My face dropped "what Tank I don't remember that poor Howard killed by the girl he onced loved and you taking the blame why?" I sobbed, Bucky pulled me in "because I thought it was me as you where suppose to be dead and I didn't know it was you until Zemo said your hydra named then seeing you at the therapist."
He calms me down just as Shuri walks in with the book "no get it away from me Bucky what the fuck you said...." Sam grabs me "pequeña ave listen to me baby the code words shouldn't work ok? You trust me don't you, I will never let anyone hurt you." He kissed my head and nodded before we all followed Shuri "ready?" She looks at me "yes" "then we shall begin "lyubovʹ (love)" I start having some flashes of memory. "molitʹsya (pray), devyatʹ (nine)," I start to fight with the winter sparrow in my head. "rzhavyy (rusted), ocharovaniye (charm), brat (brother) smertʹ (death)." There was no more need of fighting it "you are free Hope." Shuri smiled at me I started to cry, I am finally free. Sam ran straight to me "pequeña ave I am so proud of you," he kisses me, still crying I pull him in and kiss him back "I am finally free." I say looking at him he nodded "let's go we have to find Karli?" We nodded thanked Shuri and T'challa for their help before we left "don't be strangers now." Shuri said "she's a good kid Bucky she's got a lot of spirit and lots of regret take care of her. One last thing Zemo has no hold on her now," T'challa whispered to Bucky, then smiled and hugged me before we got on the jet. Heading back to New York where Karli was last known to be.
