the celebration continued and everyone was busy talking to their friends and celebrating the good occasion. jungwon didn't have anyone to talk to and headed to the rooftop, only to be met with jay.
jay was stunned.
"what a coincidence..." jay said as he rubbed his neck.
"yeah..." jungwon smirked. things were awkward. after all, it's been 5 years since they last met. the two stared at the night view in silence, admiring the city lights below.
"jungwon, i missed you. i have learnt from my mistakes. i should have shared my burden with you. i thought that by doing more, it would be loving you but i was wrong. love is a special connection between two people and i shouldn't have kept my feelings to myself." jay finally said.
"i'm sorry too, for not hearing you out that day. i found out from your manager about what happened that night. he called me since he couldn't reach you. i shouldn't have called you selfish. i wasn't thinking from your perspective. i too, should have told you about my wounds." jungwon spoke up.
"i have learnt a lot during our time apart. i learnt to love myself more and to surround myself with positive things." he continued.
"same here. look where we are today." jay replied.
jay turned to face the younger. jungwon looked at him and held his gaze. they didn't say a word but their eyes said everything. jungwon's mesmerising eyes, jay's doe-eyed gaze. this time, it was time for jay to make the first move.
"so, are you ready to love now?"
