It was the beginning of the one season Haeun loved, Autumn.
She loved the way the amber leaves decorated the cobble pathway all the while many more gracefully fell from the trees. To her, the atmosphere was fitting for a hot beverage next to a warm fireplace and to not give a shit about the harsh world around her. Despite the cool temperatures, it is definitely 100% better than summer.
After locking her apartment door, she let out a breath, the fog dancing it's way through the bitter wind. In response to the cold, she wrapped her red scarf tighter around her neck as the air pinched the same colour in her cheeks.
Haeun made her way down the flight of stairs in her apartment complex, tightening the straps of her white backpack as she walked to the bus stop. Her knee length coat practically drowned her petite frame, from another perspective, you could barely make out her face as her scarf covered her mouth and nose.
Normally, Haeun would walk to Felix's house and wait at the bus stop with him, but today she didn't have the energy to walk the extra mile to his house. So she took her time, observing the nature around her and humming softly to 'Still With You' that blasted through her earphones. The walk to the bus stop wasn't far, only at the end of her street. Unbeknownst to Haeun, there was a 5'8 boy with a familiar blonde mop charging her way.
"HEY! LEE HAEUN WAIT THERE." Felix pounced onto her back, resulting in Haeun to scream and collapse under the weight. They both fell to the ground with an 'oof' and Haeun rolled over to face the culprit.
"FELIX-" She groaned in both pain and annoyance, reaching to grab her disregarded headphones that had been yanked out of her ears and shoving them into her pockets. "You could have KILLED me."
Felix was certainly...weird. He had his way of showing his affection towards Haeun which often resulted with either her or him injured but other than that, Felix was extremely clingy. No matter where Haeun was, it was likely he was trailing right behind her like a little duckling attached to his mother. Many may see his clinginess as annoying or bothersome but Haeun didn't mind it, in fact it was quite comforting knowing there was always someone there for her.
Standing to her feet, her face hardened at the pathetic boy who lay in a starfish position on the floor. A moment passed and Felix had not responded so Haeun walked away while brushing the last leaves that clung onto her coat. The dumbfounded boy in dangly pikachu hat sat up and stared at the girl now leaving his view before scrambling to his feet.
"HEY! HAEUN! WAIT-"
