It had been a week since the meet up at the park. A week since Haeun saw Chan. She desperately wanted to apologize after thinking about their conflict, she saw how it was affecting Hyunjin and Changbin since he has disappeared.

Both Felix and Haeun knew something was wrong but every time they attempted to speak about it, either one would mention how he normally vanishes for a couple days to weeks at a time and how it was the new normal for Chan.

Part of Haeun thought it was her fault Chan had gone and therefore that is why she is determined to say at least sorry to him. At the end of the day,it would also make her the bigger person.

Both Changbin and Hyunjin had been a big help once she explained everything and told her where Chan normally was. A small cute coffee shop that was located a mile away from her house. The sun had set making the night slowly draw in.

The small cafe was located down a hidden pathway linked to a main street which made her a little skeptical to follow but she did anyway. After a short minute, Haeun was now stood outside the a dimly lit cafe with the words 'The Venti' scattered above the door in a fancy font.

Taking a glance through the window, it was practically empty with only two customers that she could see. Before Haeun could chicken herself out of it, she walked into the cafe.

The inside perfectly matched her expectation. There was a small counter where a elderly women sat behind, a book in her hand. The cafe was illuminated with a florescent lights that created a warm and calming atmosphere. There were few booths and double chair tables as Haeun assumed that the cafe don't get many customers. At a back booth she noticed the back of a familiar grey hood.

The door chimed when she stepped in properly and gained the woman's attention. The elder set aside her book and wore a welcoming smile.

"Good evening, Deary! I haven't seen you here before."

Haeun almost melted in the home-feeling this woman radiated toward her, and couldn't hold back a smile in response.

"Yeah I'm actually visiting a friend, I was told he might be here." She glanced around the cafe once more, "it's a beautiful cafe you have."

"Oh stop it, dear! I appreciate it. Would you like anything to drink before you find your friend?"

"Oh! Yes please." She wondered to a small stand that displayed the menu of drinks and treats and read them silently. After a moment, Haeun caved into buying her usual iced latte and waited for it to be made. Chan still hadn't noticed or even turned to see who entered the cafe.

Soon enough the elder had prepared her coffee and gave it to Haeun with a shortcake biscuit on the side.

"On the house for the beautiful girl." Haeun grinned, and bowed in gratitude, the kindness of this woman was killing her blissfully.

Now with her drink and snack in hand, she slowly started to make her way towards the grey hood and silently prayed it actually was Chan. Once she was practically in front of the guy, he didn't even glance up to her as he was engrossed with his laptop screen. It was Chan.

He had his earphones in so loud that Haeun could hear the soft instrumental coming from them.

With a sigh and a mental push, she placed her drink and biscuit down which gained Chan's attention. The older boy took out a headphone and fumbled on his laptop to turn off his music. To this Haeun raised an eyebrow and spoke in a gentle tone.

"Am I okay to sit?" Chan clenched his jaw for a second staring at the seat in front of him in deep though, after an awkward moment he nodded a little. She noted on how dark circles rested under his eyes.

Haeun slid into the booth as Chan closed to top of his laptop and leaned back in his seat. There was a brief silence of the two just staring at each other, waiting for the other to talk.

"Are you here to yell at me again?" Chan mumbled, breaking the eye contact with Haeun and stirred his beverage subconsciously.

"N-No." Haeun paused, looking down to the table. "I came here to apologize."

Chan glanced to her, his eyes widening in surprise and allowed for another silence to wash over them.

"How did you know I would be here?"Chan avoided the question, a little skeptical.

"Changbin and Hyunjin told me, they're worried about you, you know?" Haeun watched Chan as he brushed a hand through his hair with an audible exhale, her stomach was in knots. "Listen, I didn't tell any of the boys what I assume you were doing that day but I didn't see anything either if that's what you're worried about." Under the table, Haeun picked anxiously at her skin around her nails.

" How about," She continued, "we start over? Reintroduce ourselves like we just met."

The silence returned as Haeun awaited a response from Chan. His lips were parted as he stared into Haeun's eyes with an unreadable expression. In the moment, Haeun felt like the wait for him to speak was agonizing and way too long even though in reality it had only been ten seconds.

"Okay." His expression hardened as he broke eye contact and blinked a couple times. "You first."

Haeun smiled, sat up straight and cleared her voice. Extending her hand across the table, she teased. "Lee Haeun, in the 1st year, sister of Minho."

Chan looked at her hand and for a moment, Haeun was going to pull her hand back since he was being unresponsive.

Before she could Chan chuckled and smiled lightly, shaking his head in fake disapproval. " It sounds like you recited your tinder bio."

Non the less, Chan placed his hand in hers and Haeun noticed the warm his hand provided. " Bang Chan, in the 2nd year, and no siblings that you know of."

Haeun laughed as their hands lingered before she properly shook them. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr Bang."

"You too, Miss Lee."

High heels clicked down the dark pathway, the only sound in the dead of night. The moon was now high in the air as the woman passed the small lit cafe, coming to a halt after a glance in the window.

A young pair, smiling and laughing, having fun. One in a grey hoodie and the other in a black sweater with a small knitted white daisy in the middle. The woman had shoulder length black with light pink in the underneath of her hair while the guy had light brown hair and unmistakable dimpled cheeks. A red scarf lay neatly beside the short haired woman.

The woman outside was stood watching in anger, her fists clenched and shaking due to tightness of them.

"Unbelievable." Her tone was laced with venom as she couldn't bare the sight anymore. The woman swiftly walked further down the pathway, her steps more aggressive than before.
