The night sailed along perfectly. The pair in the cafe booth talked and laughed until the sun started to rise. They had both long lost track of time and sat in a warm silence. Haeun sipped a fresh hot coffee and was mesmerized by the sunset while Chan kept his eyes fixated on his laptop, occasionally frowning and tapping the keys.

Haeun had learned little about Chan even though they talked the whole night. The things she did catch up on however were minor details about himself. She now knows that his Grandmother owned the coffee shop they were sat in, he has two siblings, he lives with his Grandmother. If anything, it was more Haeun rambling and Chan sat there patiently listening. There were things Haeun asked Chan but he never gave a clear response, like what he was doing on his laptop or why he wasn't at school.

Haeun didn't mind though she, for one, respected his privacy, for two, acknowledged the fact they had not met that long ago, and for three, was determined to find out one day. She wasn't sure what drew her to Chan, she blamed it on how mysterious he seemed and also on her own curiosity.

Haeun glanced to Chan once she had finished her coffee and stretched, her arms up in the air and her back arched.  He hadn't moved from when Haeun last looked at him, his nose was still in his laptop.

"Hey Chan?" She muttered, rubbing her eyes.

He hummed in response only briefly making eye contact before looking back to his laptop.

"I'm gonna head to school." She stood up and held onto the table for a little support since her legs felt numb.

Haeun paused, slightly hesitant to ask. "Are you coming in today?"

The older boy sighed and ran a hand through his hair, he tapped his finger lightly on his laptop in thought.  Reluctantly, Chan nodded his head and silently packed away his laptop while Haeun waited by the door and happily left the small cafe.

The walk to school was fairly short as the cafe wasn't too far away. During the walk, the pair made small talk but spent the time in a comfortable silence. Haeun enjoyed Chan's company a lot more than what she originally thought she would, I mean, if someone had told her she'd have spent the night laughing and talking to the boy she was yelling at a couple weeks prior, she wouldn't have believed it.

School soon approached and the pair said their goodbyes before heading in opposite directions. She couldn't hold back the small smile that taunted her lips, maybe Minho's friends weren't that bad after all.
