The bus stop was empty and silent as the morning sun had soon yet to rise.

The fatigued noirette and her blonde companion sat silently beside one another on a bench under a dim streetlight. The silence was comforting as they didn't need to speak in order to enjoy the company. It was often like this with duo, they liked the comfort they provided for each other.

When growing up, Haeun didn't have much family. She had the, so she calls, 'typical tragic family story' of a single Mom and an older brother. Their Dad ran away from the responsibilities caring for children needs and to provide for Haeun and her brother, her Mom worked two part-time jobs to replace their pathetic excuse of a Dad. She used to be extremely close to her brother, Minho, since he had to look after her but once he started high school, he distanced himself from both Haeun and her mother. Haeun would be surprised to even see Minho at home. She assumes that's why she gravitates to Felix so much; in a way, he is the younger brother she never had.

Haeun glanced to Felix, the younger boy twirling the dangling pokeballs from his hat in amusement. She withheld a smile, still slightly annoyed at him for knocking her over moments prior.

Her eyes wondered back to the endless road that barely lead any cars this early in the morning. For once, her mind was empty as she stared blankly down the street.

Soon enough, the bus appeared amongst the light fog and Haeun stood up in response.

She turned to the boy still occupied with his hat and grabbed his hand, yanking him to his feet. In initial shock, he gasped softly and pouted down at Haeun, not impressed about the sudden disruption.

"Bus is here." Haeun simply turned her back to Felix and held her hand out to signal the bus driver to stop to which Felix didn't reply and stifled a yawn.

The bus came to a squeaking halt causing the to cringe in unison at the repulsive noise. Wordlessly, they went onto the bus and continued the journey to school in silence.

Their school wasn't big since the town was rather small. It was a semi-modern build as the school was redesigned a couple of decades ago. To Haeun, she thought it was quite cute.

Like the journey on the bus, Felix had remained silent and kept on glancing to Haeun while they walked up to the building. Noticing this, Haeun chuckled and sent Felix a bright smile.

"I forgive you, ya know?" She nudged him briefly with her shoulder in a teasing manner.

" I really didn't think you'd collapse under my weight, I'm really sorry."

"I said I forgive you, Lix!! Don't worry." She exclaimed, stopping and shaking his shoulder while repeating the last sentence.

"Okay! Okay." He straightened his posture and grinned, "I'm treating us to cakes after school." The younger boy sprinted off, not letting Haeun even open her mouth to reply.

Dumbfounded, she stood staring at the blonde mop slowly disappear into the school, her jaw slightly gaped. Felix never failed to surprise her, that's for sure.

"That boy." She muttered under her breath, shaking her head in disbelief before continuing into the school.

The first few lessons in Haeun's homeroom flew by as she found herself only half paying attention to her teacher. It's not like she didn't understand what was being taught as she already excelled in school, but on this particular day, she couldn't pay full attention. The teacher's words seemed to go through one ear and come out the next as she stared mindlessly stared out the window; watching as the trees swayed gracefully in the bitter wind and the young children rushing to catch falling leaves. The sight brought a small smile to her lips.

To indulged in a world of amber trees and giggling children, Haeun didn't realise the lunch bell had rung before a classmate tapped her desk lightly.

The sound drew Haeun from her trance as she looked to see who made the noise.

A short brunette with a middle parting and a shy smile caught her eye, he looked apologetic.

"Hey Hauen, sorry for disturbing you but you've been sat here a while and the lunch bell has already gone." He scratched the back of his neck, his ears turning a tint of pink.

"Oh really? Thank you, Jisung." Haeun smiled in gratitude to Jisung, before frowning. "How come you're still here?"

"Ah I forgot my jacket so I came back to get it." He walked to his desk at the front of the class, not too far from Haeuns and hesitated. "You can come and sit with my friends if you'd like."

"Thank you for offering, Jisung but Felix will most likely have a panic attack if I don't get to him as soon as possible." Jisung chuckled, nodding in acknowledgement, he had visually relaxed which made Haeun raise an eyebrow.

"Noted! I'll see you later." This was the second time someone had rushed away from Haeun and it was safe to say she was confused. Haeun pursed her lips, unsure of how to process the conversation she just had but figured it would be best to ponder after she assured Felix that she was alive.
