It had been a day after Haeun's conversation with Minho. She had been thinking about what he said about asking Chan for help with singing but she wasn't sure. Was becoming an Idol really her dream job?
Sitting at her desk in Maths, she tapped her pencil on the sheet of paper in front of her. She had not attempted the work the teacher had handed out. Instead, Haeun stared blankly at the empty sheet, her mind too full to think about the questions on the sheet.
Beside Haeun, sat Felix, who glanced in her direction every once in a while. It wasn't like her to be this distracted during class.
The familiar series of high chimes concluded that class was over, and yet Haeun had still not touched pen to paper. Sighing, she folded the empty sheet and shoved it carelessly in her bag. She'd finish it for tomorrow.
As the teacher dismissed the class for lunch, Haeun quickly gathered her things and left to the rooftop without waiting for Felix.
Now this concerned Felix even more. He rushed to catch up with her, catching himself on one of the front desks before he could trip.
"Haeun!" The boy called out, making Haeun stop halfway up the steps.
She turned to face Felix, running a hand through her hair. Of course she felt bad for leaving Felix, but if anything, she needed time to figure things out. "Felix..."
Without saying anything, the younger boy grabbed her hand and led her up to the rooftop, closing the door when they had made it. Felix turned to Haeun, crossing his arms.
"Listen- I know when something is up. What's wrong?"
She wanted to tell him everything that was on her mind. Minho's situation, her thoughts with her audition, Chan even. But something was stopping her. It wasn't that she couldn't trust Felix or anything. As much as Haeun wouldn't like to admit it, she doesn't want to face her own answers.
"Lix, I'm fine- honestly." She forced a smile, walking up to the taller boy and wrapping her arms around his frame. "Please don't worry about me."
"Of course I will." He returned the embrace, sighing deeply. "I know things have been weird since me and Hyunjin got together but you're still my best friend. I care for you, Hae."
Haeun pulled back and smiled, patting his cheek softly. " I know you do, Lix. But I just need to figure things out."
The younger boy nodded, understandingly and changed the topic.
"So... lunch?" He grinned, holding up two sandwiches.
She laughed and hit his shoulder playfully. "You didn't have to!" Regardless, she took the second sandwich and sat down with Felix soon following her actions.

It was a surprise that Haeun was sat in the park in the dead of night. Alone with a simple letter grasped in her left hand. Part of her wanted to gasp with joy and jump until she grew tired, however, the other part of her was panicked. What if she wasn't good enough?
The letter in her hands was a letter from JYP, congratulating her on being chosen for a trainee program. Her mom had shoved the letter under the stack of bills, meaning Haeun had only seen it when she was looking through the mail. Luckily, it had only been sent 2 days ago and she was expected to be at the company next Monday. It was now Thursday night.
With a dragged sigh, she placed the letter on the empty seat beside her, messing her hair up by running a hand through it. Haeun had not told anyone about the letter yet, her plan was to tell everyone about it tomorrow. She needed time to process it for herself.
