Haeun sat on Chan's bed as he glanced at her with a worried expression from the chair placed in front of her. Since Chan picked her up, Haeun sat on his bed with her head in her hands, not even saying anything when he asked a couple of times.

If Chan was being honest, he didn't know what to do. He had considered calling Felix or Hyunjin to help but something was holding him back, he didn't know what but maybe there was a reason Haeun had called him specifically.

Tired of the silence, Chan stood up from his seat and crouched in front of Haeun, still keeping some form of distant to give her space.

"Hey," Chan stared, pausing for a moment. "You know you can talk to me right?"

His tone was soft and gentle, he took time to think over his words before he said them, not wanting to say the wrong thing. The last thing he wanted was to upset her further, not in the state she was already in.

"But, if you don't want to talk, what can I do to help you?"

For the first time since Chan picked her up, Haeun looked up at him and his heart broke. She didn't have that usual sparkle anymore, instead, all he could see was pain. Her eyes were red and puffy with tears still brimming in the corner,Chan wanted nothing more than to hold her close and make all of her suffering go away, even though he knew he couldn't.

"I can put on a Disney movie and bring up some snacks."

"Yeah." Haeun replied in a small voice, shuffling herself further onto the bed.

Chan smiled softly and stood up, making his way out the room. When he had returned, Haeun had moved to under his covers with her back facing him. All he could do was sigh and place the packet of sweets on the bed and sit on the edge. Haeun must have felt his weight dip the bed since she turned her head slightly to look at Chan.

In the small amount of time Chan had been gone, her cheeks were stained with fresh tears but she quickly wiped them and sat up.

"Thank you. Is this okay?"

Chan looked a little shocked that she had asked that, "Of course it's fine." Chan smiled lightly and got under the covers himself, flickering through his Netflix account. After a couple minutes of browsing, Chan clicked on Mulan and leaned over to turn his bedside lamp off, the only light now being from the tv.

In all honesty, Chan didn't know what to do, despite Haeun looking a little better than before, Chan felt like he had barely done anything to help her. It wasn't until Haeun laid back down and hesitantly rested her head on Chan's chest that Chan felt it was alright to give her physical comfort.

Chan hooked his arm around her shoulder and drew small shapes on her forearm still a little curious to what was wrong.

"I, uhm..." She trailed, unsure of how to form the sentence since the wound was still fresh. Haeun was grateful for Chan, he kept patient with her and didn't force her to tell him things if she didn't feel comfortable, in a way that made the brunette want to tell him more. " I got kicked out of JYP."

"What?" Chan sat up, looking at Haeun with a bewildered expression, that was the last thing he expected her to say. "What do you mean?"

Haeun let out a deep breath and followed Chan's movement, her eyes trained on her lap again before she started to tell her story.

"I got a call from the company before school which wasn't a normal thing to happen. When I went in, I got told someone had put in bullying claims and therefore they kicked me out." As Haeun continued to speak, her voice started to break and grew weaker.

"A-And then when I got home, my Mom basically said I was he reason Dad left because..." Haeun paused, taking in a deep breath, "Because I was an ungrateful bitch."

Chan sat there in complete shock, he had so much sympathy for the younger girl that it pained him to see Haeun like this. The only thing Chan could think to do in the moment was to hold her close, and so he did. His grip around her tightened as Haeun moved to make herself more comfortable.

"I can't believe it. All for that work, and what was it for?" Haeun scoffed, unable to comprehend anything other than bitterness. "I mean social media is already attacking me, maybe they just kicked me out the company so it will get people talking about the company."

"I'm already failing in school- how do they expect me to go back to normality after training for months on end??"

"I don't know, Haeun." Chan hummed into her ear, stroking her hair soothingly. "Why did you call me and not Lix?"

The question hung in the air, why did she? In the moment, Haeun didn't know why she called Chan but it felt like the right thing to do. If she had rung Felix, the ball of sunshine would have stormed to the company and caused hell if she told him then and there.

"Listen Chan," She started, leaning on her elbow to look at Chan face-to-face. " I don't know. It felt like the right thing to do and knowing Felix, he would have done something about it, I didn't want that."

"Listen, Love. Please don't let your mom's words get to you- from what you've told me about her, she's the ungrateful bitch. She doesn't realise what an amazing and beautiful women you are inside and out, but everyone else around you do. Felix and the rest do... I do." Chan paused, tucking a loose strand of Haeun's hair behind her ear and trailing his hand to her neck before continuing.

"And for school, you're the smartest girl I know and when you're really struggling I'm sure either me or the guys will help you with whatever it is you need help with."

Haeun's expression softened as she glanced to each feature on his face, reaching her hand to run a finger under his chin. A small smile dusted on her lips, just the physical contact alone was enough for heat to spread to her finger.

"How did I get so lucky?" Haeun mumbled, placing a light kiss along Chan jawline, the unexpected contact making Chan very flustered. The blood rushed to his ears as he stared at Haeun a little dumbfounded to which she giggled and stared up at him.

"Haeun..." Chan said, detaching himself from Haeun causing her to frown at the missing contact.

"Yeah?"

"What are we?"

Haeun opened her mouth to say something but closed it again. Three simple words that caused her to spiral deep in thought.

"Haeun," Chan called her to catch her attention, which it did. "I'm crazy over you. God- I haven't been able to stop thinking about you since that day in the cafe, but, I have something I need to tell you."

Haeun frowned, now sitting up and giving her full attention to Chan. Chan seemed to have difficulty thinking of the words to say as his eyes darted around the room.

" I'm leaving for Seoul when the school year ends."

Haeun's heart fell to her stomach, why does everything good in her life keep on getting ruined? Chan seemed to notice her expression and held one of her hands as his other lifted her chin up, forcing her to look at him.

"I-I know the timing of all of this is so fucking shit, and I'm so so sorry, Haeun." Chan rushed out, tears welling up in his own eyes, "But I'm not leaving until the beginning of the next school year so we have about 3 months left and, I want to spend each second of it with you by side."

Overwhelmed with emotions, Haeun leaned forward and connected her lips to Chan's, removing her hand from his and placing it on his cheek, deepening the kiss. Like the last kisses they shared, the feeling of warmth and euphoria returned. Chan smiled into the kiss and fluttered his eyes closed and pulled her impossibly closer to him, savoring every moment.
