Chapter 45

Eleri's pov
I watched Alfie being crammed into the police car. As they drove off, Alfie gave me a grim look. A look that said "I will be back for you". I shivered at the thought of seeing him again.

Alys put her hand on my shoulder. "are you ok?" She asked "yeah, I'm fine" I nodded in response. I then turned to Zoe. "I'm really sorry..." I said and she looked at me with sorrow in her eyes. "no, no.... I'm sorry!" She said and i stared at her confused. "why are you sorry?" I asked "because I was an asshole! If it wasn't for you Alfie probably would have killed us both, so thank you" she said and I smiled. "so you forgive me?" I said "as long as you forgive me!"she said and we hugged. Zoe was one of the nicest people on earth!

We made our way home and watched some TV until Megan and Joe got home. they were better, but still a little woozy from the operation. "hey" Alys said and Megan came and sat down with Joe. Joe obviously had more time to recover from the anaesthetic because he was much more down to earth. Megan on the other hand...not so much! "hi" Megan giggled drunkenly. "I'm gonna take her to our room" Joe said and carried her upstairs bridal style.

Joe's Pov
I carried Megan upstairs and Laid her on our bed. "do you still remember me?" She asked "yes, of course I do!" I said and she smiled "good." she giggled and then curled up in the duvet covers. I love her. I always have! I think I want to marry her...
