Chapter 46

*2 days later*

Megan's pov
I woke up to Joe sitting next to me with a plate of pancakes. "oooh yum!" I said and we shared the plate. "get dressed, we're going out!" Joe smiled as he left our room. "where are we going!?" I asked curiously. "wait and see!" He smirked. I ran to my wardrobe and put on a beautiful red skater dress, a pair of black heels, a black handbag and some jewellery. I did my makeup and was about to leave my bedroom when I saw my black hat on the shelf. I threw it on and ran downstairs.

Joe was waiting at the front door in a suit. he had a bunch of ruby red roses in his hand! "Wow! Mr. romantic!" I giggled as I took the roses. He kissed me on the cheek and led me out the door. We got into his car and he started to drive. "where are we going!?" I asked again. "wait and see!" He said cheekily.

We soon arrived at a street I had seen before, but I couldn't quite remember why it was familiar. suddenly, Joe put his hands over my eyes "almost there!" He laughed and he guided me down the road. we stopped after a while and he uncovered my eyes. I looked up at the building I front of me, it was the restaurant where we had our first date! "Aww Joe! This is so sweet!" I said as we walked inside.

A waiter sat us down at a table for two and we ordered some food. we shared a giant pizza and had a bottle of champagne! "Joe, this is very sweet but, why are you spoiling me!?" I said with a smile. "well... I was wondering." he said and he pulled me to my feet. he got down on one knee. "will you marry me?" He asked nervously. "yes! yes of course I will!" I said and he started to put the ring on my finger.

Then all of a sudden, Joe fell to the floor. I looked down at him, confused as to what was happening. a puddle of blood began to form around his head. I looked up and saw Alfie, standing in the restaurant with his gun.

"I told you I'd be back."
