Abby Hewitt POV

Everyone tells me to get out, to leave but I can't. I have a high school diploma. That's all. I never worked a day in my life. I was taught how to be a good wife who knew how to take care of the man and be obedient. If I ran away I wouldn't be able to survive. I don't have a bank account, I never dealt with money, he pays for everything and comes with me to get grocery. I don't know things that I should know. I'm smart but before I could leave Alison's house in this economy it would take years, at best.

We kept quiet for a few minutes and I watched him while he texted someone, he was handsome. She showed me some photos and even videos of him but personally, this man is something else. I mean, I met a few men in high school and when we go out on the afternoons but never no one like him. He must've been drugged because he is so fine and he is actually really nice.

"Do you have the documents with you? Your ID and all that?" He asks when he puts his phone away.

"Yeah. I even brought the passport in case they need to confirm I was in Las Vegas that day" I say and he nods.

"Did you take that out of his drawer? He will be pissed. I told you the ID was enough" Alison says worried.

"I need to solve this. I created this mess, I will solve it. He came here on purpose, the least I can do is bring all that may be needed, he won't need to waste more of his time on this" I say and Lewis looked a bit concerned.

"Fine, but try to put it in the place as soon as you get there" She says and I nod giving her a smile. The food gets here and it looked delicious.

"Is it that easy to get an annulment? Will we say we were too drunk to consent to the marriage?" I ask and he seems to think a bit.

"We can just say it wasn't consummated and it will be fine" He says and I choke myself on the food and they both look at me worried.

"We- That's a lie though" I say and he looks confused.

"What? Do you know that consummate is more than a kiss? Like sex and all that?" He aks and I nod.

"We- We did it. I woke up in your bed but I ran away" I say and he just freezes.

"You told me you ran away but you never told me you two did it. I need details" Alison says shocked.

"I- It was a big blur but I know for a fact we did it." I say and he stays quiet for a few minutes. Yes, minutes.

"How do you know? Maybe we just kissed and blacked out" He says but I shake my head.

"I was a virgin, I think I would know when I had sex. But we can say we didn't consummate it, they won't know" I say and he looks like I just told him the most stupid thing ever.

"We can't lie. Just- Let's say we were too drunk to make a decision like that" He says and goes back to eating.

"That's fine by me" I say and do the same.

"Did I hurt you?" He asks and I'm caught by surprise.

"No- I just was a bit sour. I knew it by that. Don't worry about it" I say and he nods. Alison hits me with her elbow discreetly and gives me a smile.

"I'm sorry your first time happened like that" He says and I nod shrugging.

"I'm sorry your first marriage went like this" I say shrugging and he laughs.

"I'm going to the bathroom" Alison says and I tried to get up but she pushed me down and left.

"Do you want out or do you like it the way it is?" He asks and I'm pretty shocked by his question.

"I would take a way out if I could but I guess I got used to it" I say and he nods.

"Do you want to come with me? To travel and to try to make something out of this. If this doesn't work out I can guarantee you a comfortable life after our separation. I have enough for it" He says and I looked around.

"Are you for real? Are you joking right now?" I ask dumbfounded by his offer.

"I like you Abby. And I must've liked you a lot because I married you. Sober or not, I did it. We get along fine and I think this would be a win-win situation for both. I could use the company and you get your way out. We can make an agreement of a value you would want if it didn't work out" He says and I didn't know what to say.

"I don't want your money. Not now or never" I say and he nods.

"I know, that's why I'm offering. If it ended bad it could be terrible for you. I give you a way out, with me. And if with me doesn't work, we go our own way and you get your way out because I believe you have too much to give besides being someone's maid" He says and in that moment Alison starts coming.

"Why not?" I say and he gives me a huge smile

"Do you have something you need at home?" He asks and Alison sits down.

"Whats happening? Did you forget something?" She asks confused and I couldn't help but laugh and Lewis just tried not to do it.

"We- We are giving this a try. Lewis gave me a way out and I'm taking it" I say and her jaw drops.

"You are gonna be husband and wife?" She asks and I see she was getting emotional.

"I guess" I say and I see the tears on her eyes. "Don't do that Ali"

"Finally I can sleep knowing you are taken care of. I love you Lewis. You have my unconditional support. Forever" She says hugging me, me and Lewis could only laugh.

"I love you too. Just keep yourself together" I say and she nods.

"I can't believe we both goth married a week apart. You are damn lucky Lewis Hamilton, take care of her. Abby Hamilton. Hm- It sounds good" She says and I nod.

"It sounds good. Let's see how it goes then" I say and she nods.

"I'm so happy" She says and we order dessert while Lewis just laughed at Alison's happiness and future plans like double dates and her first time attending Formula 1. The worst is that he was feeding her ideas and offered her and Lucas, her husband, tickets to Turkey in less than a month.
